I'm agonising over him or Jackie tbh.

Lustig is right up there and I think Hinkel was really unlucky with the teams he played in, cause he was class.

Agathe was phenomenal to watch at his best, but I went for Jackie for pure consistency and versatility. Never really let you down and always gave 100%

Have to go for Agathe, great player against the Huns and in Europe.

Frustrating mostly as people thought he should have took guys on much more and his final ball was pretty poor but he was a solid defender and a great outlet and big game player.

Agathe, a guy bought for £50K or something from Hibs and on top of this had no cartilage in his right knee whatsoever (Imagine that pain whilst running ffs) and was still turning in class performances at a very high level every week not letting that hold him back. Not to mention the fastest player I've ever seen in a Celtic shirt on top of it.

I voted Lustig because I never saw enough of Jackie or Agathe to give a fair judgement

Full reason I think Boyd's not up there for me, older posters will gove us a better idea though.

No too old though, ma Da's disliked every right back because 'Danny McGrain would have just done...' :56::56::56:

Danny McGrain the best we ever had. Hands down. Although, Alec McNair has to be up there also - I mean, he was the first choice RB for over 20 years for Celtic, back in the Maley era. Think about that for a moment. There would have been those not yet born when he made his debut that would have been grown adults and into their 20's who would rarely have known a Celtic team where McNair wasn't one of the first names on the team sheet.

Of the past 20 yrs though, hard to go past either Jackie Mac or Hinkel. Jackie was so versatile though, that he could play anywhere across the back or even in MF, do a job and never disappoint, so it's hard to see him purely as a RB. Agathe was a speedy * sure enough, but was pretty woeful at the cross and was fortunate to play in a system that usually saw us play with 3 CB's and 2 WB's, because he could be susseptable defensively also. Wilson, despite whatever happened since his departure, when fit, was pretty consistent there also, but Hinkel was a class above.

So based on that, Hinkel has to be the man for mine, as the best out and out RB in the past 20 yrs.

It was between Jackie and Hinkel for me, with Jackie nicking it probably because of his longer service to the club.

Tommy Boyd also was a quality RB for us in the 90's. Unfortunately he played in teams where all too often there was some absolute dross surrounding the likes of Boyd, Collins, McStay etc. But he remained a mainstay through the Burns era, was part of the side that stopped the 10, and was club captain toward the end of his career, highlights how much he was valued by the club.

I'd never pick Jackie because I personally thought he was better at centre mid.
