I applaud you for not being stupid enough to be honest like myself. Thanks to my honesty when I moved in with my partner and her child we now have my wage supporting 3 people, soon to be 4. If we hade not been honest about the whole thing we would of had an extra £500 a month, instead we have an extra £8 a month, an overdraft and my partners previous debt that can no longer be paid off. If I could turn the clock back, I sure as * would cheat the system, * you Tory and * you SNP.

Not everyone will agree with this but I think couples who claim for joint benefits are nuts. * that when you can claim individually.

I hear you dude, I have 2 kids at the age of 23 ( I know I was daft blah blah) but this was my choice. I pay £1000 nursery fees and me and my partner work full time, we get * all support as we are honest and pay our way through life, I have a mortgage to pay aswell, it's hard as fivk mate and I know what your going through, but debts will ease over time, honesty is the best policy, at least we can sleep at night not worrying that we are * the system. As long as you and your family are healthy, that's all that matters.

We're already in recession, and it has little to do with "benefit cheats".

Years ago we had to have benefits as the mrs lost her jobs. So we went through all the crap of filling in forms, proving this and that, taking 3 weeks before we got a reply - by which time we're up to our eyeballs in rent arrears and debt.
So after a couple of months i did a couple of hours overtime each night for a couple of weeks for a bit of extra cash to help pay off some of the debt etc.
We then get a letter through the post a few weeks later saying we will be getting 50p a week in benefits as i did not tell them i was earning more (even though it was only temp)!
And we had a small child at the time.
We had to pay ALL of the benefit back (not just for those 2 weeks, but the whole 6 months or so's worth that we had claimed up to that point - over £1000).
Takes the *. We appealed and got it reduced by £130.

No matter how hard up we are i have sworn never to claim any ever again if i can help it - unless we are both on the dole (* forbid) of course.

Regardless of the terminology the point remains.

Nothing at all to do with the banks or the giant bail outs paid for by our tax money. These bankers get paid millions in bonuses but some people who claim separately in order to help them survive are just greedy and the cause of all our nation's woes...

For the record I don't claim any benefits but I can understand why couples claim for themselves individually.

Maybe technically we are not....this month, but generally speaking our growth over the last couple of years has been minimal, and coupled with its duration, it is effectively recession.

Lol , I think your loosing the point, we live in an age where image and materials are more important than financial morals. Most people cheating the system are not working and greed is the root of the problem. People who pay there way in life are the people who deserve the benefits If they are in financial strain as they have contributed something to the government. Benefits are not a wage

    Daily Mail CSC.

Image and materials have nowt to do with it for many, their "financial morals" go out the window in order for them to put food on the table, heat their homes etc. In many cases I'd imagine these benefits would top up the minimum wage they're getting.

If your looking for an example of a lack of morals then look no further than the greedy bankers.
