That will definitely be no World Cup for Beckham and it could finish him as a player.

A torn achilles tendon means anywhere between 3-6 months out.

    Yep

It is a very painful and serious injury. He will be on crutches as well for
    a good while.

Gutted for Beckham, one of the few England players I like. Seems like a sound guy and does endless charity work. Deserved the chance to score in 4 consecutive World Cup's.

I'm pretty gutted for him tbh, he is one of my favourite players outwith Celtic :54:

His talent as a footballer, forgetting everything else, has been VASTLY under rated throughout his career. Not by people within the game, hence the reason he has played for Man United, Real Madrid and AC Milan whilst captaining his country but from a majority of fans.

His desire, work rate and heart coupled with his ability to ping inch perfect passes and crosses is amazing. Even at the age he is now.

Made the decision for Mr Capello then. It's a shame, very good player - even at this age.

That's a * harsh injury. Potentially career ending. Feel so sorry for him, he's a fantastic player.

What's funny about potentially finishing a players career?

Beckham is one of a few English player I actually don't mind.

As GazF pointed out too, does huge amounts of charity work too, seems like a decent guy and is a quality footballer.

Yeah seems to be a real nice guy of football, despite the outrageous money and fame still seems genuine so it is a shame. On a strictly selfish note this is bad for England :50:
