    Not a lot!

Like any nice place, it is full of stuck up *! Not saying everyone there is, but a fair chunk of snobbery dwells in dem neck of the woods!

I dont go there anymore, but used to have a mate in Milngavie that i kept in touch with, and i grew up in the far more amiable hamlet of Drumchapel, so i did have a certain impression of it from a young age.

Went out with a lassie from there, and when I met her mother and father they made it very clear they didn't approve of me after questioning me on where I grew up what my job was what my career aspirations were etc etc.

Hopefully they crashed and burned in the 2008 financial crash, and now reside in the Drum!

For some reason I can't see some images. It appears to be quite random which ones appear those that don't.

On the old forum software I could quote a post and the image url would be there. Doesn't show up in the new one.

Used to be able to search threads for YouTube videos by title on the old forum.

Not complaining though, I like the new forum and understand a lot of work went into it.

If somebody has posted an image themselves, i.e. Used the 'upload file' option, then it won't appear in your quote, it will just show the word 'attachment'

If they have used the add picture tool (the wee box in the tools) and copied and pasted the URL for the pic then it will appear in your quote. :50:

One of my university mates is from here. Has a softer accent than the typical Glaswegian one, and he is a good Tim.

Bearsden - pleasant North Glasgow suburb with mixed private housing stock and inhabited by a broadly affluent and educated middle class.

Bears Den - vile, toxic , contaminated place inhabited by monosyllabic, inbred, bigoted, socially and culturally backward sub-humans who rely on state benefits and only have enough thought process to misguidedly reassure one another that they are somehow 'superior' . They are subject to delusional instincts and urges stemming from fleeting, latent memories of a deceased ancestor.

Ah right, that's great. Thanks for the explanation and the pics @mark82 :50:

What is the building for, surely it's not someone's house?

The Cross I remember Kilmardinny Loch fondly, and the Chippy on the main road was very good.Yes it has its snobs, but quite a few okay people as well and when i haunted this suburb a good few Good Celtic fans lived there.

It does look nice, and has always been known as an affluent part of Glasgow.

Least we don't have gated communities yet. I think Mexico City has over 100.

Although apparently councils in the UK are starting to bcome bankrupt so there's no funds for public services which means it might not be long before the affluent areas become Gated with everything private including the armed security. :boxing:
