    Gael Clichy's contract talks stall as Arsenal target Celtic's Emilio Izaguirre

    Arsenal defender Gael Clichy's future with the club hangs in the balance as fears grow that the French left-back will not sign a new contract, according to the Daily Mail.

    The 25-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of next season and if no deal can be put in place the Gunners will look to cash in on the player they signed from Cannes, rather than lose him for nothing.

    Talks will continue with Clichy but Arsenal have made plans should the French international decide to quit.

    Arsene Wenger has earmarked Celtic’s Emilio Izaguirre among potential replacements.

    Lennon's just said the other day that nno-one is going anywhere. Only way they might go is if we get MEGA bucks for them 15 mill plus. If Andy carroll is worth 35 mill and torres (who incidentally hasn't been half decent since he moved to england imo) was worth 50 mill then I don't think 20 mill plus is too much to ask for izzy and for kayal or hooperman for that matter

    You talking about the "gossip column"? Let me tell you something. I've been reading it for a while now and it isn't much more reliable than Goal.com or CaughtOffside to be honest. The big (and often true) stories get posted on the main page. Arsenal are a big club and if they were serious about making an offer, it would be posted where everyone can see it.

    dont no how good the source is but arsenal have all ready got good cover at left back with gibbs so wouldnt take much notice of this, a lot of rubbish if you ask me
