I like a swally, don't see the problem with it either.

Hate drinking during the week right enough, can barely stomach a couple of jars for the European nights nowadays because I'm a useless * almost the entire next day.

  5. I love it tbh, the only bad side to it is sometimes the next day you think back and start to think you might have annoyed * or embarassed yourself but its never normally the case and has usually always been a good day/night.

I would have used any excuse to have had a drink at one time mate, believe me!

I'd grudge spending the money on it now. There are so many other things i would rather buy.

Maybe drinking so much in my 20's was actually a good thing. Got it all out of my system. :50:

I don't enjoy if i drink to the point that i spend the evening vomiting. However I rarely get to that point so I'm ok with drinking. Also, drinking when I feel down is terrible. I end up a sobbing mess.

Ive had some experiences where ive simply had too much to drink and im vomiting and it is one of the most disgusting experiences, i hate the feeling the next morning of being bed stricken for hours and the mere act of standing up almost induces sickness.

I don't get people, mainly at uni who go out 3/4 times a week, ill go out literally once of twice a month, i just don't find it that enjoyable anymore.

Would honestly prefer to stay in and watch a movie or a t.v program or go out to the cinema than drink. First of all its cheaper and i find it more entertaining and fun. Ive embarrassed myself a few times when ive been oot my head and it is just not a good feeling.

One time i drank a wee bit too much at a beach party called Minival and at about three i wandered off in the dunes and collapsed in a heap, woke up 2/3 hours later somewhere on the beach, found my way back to my tent and proceeded to be sick constantly for 5 hours. Personally think its was poisoning or something like that, but that experience has put me off alcohol a lot, when i rarely go out now i get tipsy and then i stop.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I barely go out now. I prefer to just sit in and watch TV or a movie or something.

I just get into embarrassing situations if I drink too much. I vaguely remember waking up in a flower bed outside my flat in first year, and then when I finally got in it took me until 2pm to move away from the toilet to get to bed. Really * up and told my best friend that I loved her too when I drank way too much. Felt sick for about a week because of it, and we're not even friends anymore. Alcohol's just not worth the bother...

Probably shouldn't be posting this stuff on a public forum, but meh.

I used to like drinking in my early twenties but not anymore after I got a serious problem in my stomach, (had to quit even coffee)
But way back then, I was one of those who don't really get drunk in spite of drinking so much, ....Just once I totally passed out though, after drinking too much on an empty stomach .;;(It was really awful and I wouldn't do that again, anyway.;;)

    Anyway, can't say anymore I enjoy drinking. My stomach is not very strong any more...^^;;

The problem we have with society, especially in younger people, is that if you say you don't really enjoy drinking and would rather watch a film or do something else. People think you are some sort of weirdo.

Too many people think that if, when you're young, you don't go out and get pished and go clubbing every weekend and * as many people as possible, Make an * of yourself, go on drunken 18-30 holidays and generally be a drunken * for a while, then somehow you haven't lived and that you're wasting your life.

    Why?

Everyone is different. Wouldn't it be a boring place if we all did the same thing at the same time for the same reasons?

This is something i have definitely encountered since stopping drinking.

There seems to be this mindset that you should spend your late teens and 20's being all drunk and crazy.

Where did we go so wrong that, someone not drinking and deciding not to go out every weekend is looked upon as weird, but someone who binge drinks every weekend, always goes to clubs and pubs and crazy holidays are the so called "normal" ones?

It's a sad reflection of western society's young people and their attitudes.

I like a drink on a Friday night but I don't get completely smashed and fall about anymore. I only have 8 cans if I'm in the house or 5/6 pints if I'm at the pub. I know I will be fine the next day and be able to get up early with that. Don't go to clubs at all now since I'm out of action all weekend if I do. Never really been into drugs I used to smoke weed in my teens but only through peer pressure and I never really enjoyed it.

I try and have the mentality that I'm seeing my mates when I'm going out and not that I'm going out to get pished.
