Not sure if there is a thread on this but I couldn't find one. I expect Khan to win this fight but McCloskey could be a huge banana skin for him. Everyone knows this is Khan's warm up fight for Bradley and he could face embarrassment

As Paul is a distant relation of mine I may be slightly bias but do not underestimate him, he is an extremely technical boxer and can punch, Khan will have his work cut out and if I'm honest this is easily a fight that Dudey can win.

Take it the Di Rocco fight is off then for the time being?

Would love to see Paul do the business and "prescott" Khan clean into la-la land.

If not, Bradley v Khan will make great viewing - 's all good. :50:

Khan seems to be a pretty divisive figure. Shame because if you measure him purely on athletic merit he is worth viewing - just look at the Maidana fight. I also don't buy into this argument that a dodgy chin means that he's not worthy of support - otherwise nobody wud ever have heard of Tommy Hearns! I fully expect him to take care of McCloskey tbh.

I also suspect that he will indeed unify 140lbs as Bradley imo is overrated. That fight with Alexander, which I foolishly decided to watch in the Gala, was utter pish. Bradley is nothing more than extremely tenacious. No great KO power, slightly better than average speed, is only 5,6, and leads with his skull. Khan with his height and speed, I think, will be fine.

Ergo, 147lbs will be the acid test. However, by that time Pacquiao may well have decided to focus 100% on politics (not that Roach wud have his two marquees squaring off anyway), and Mr Mayweather will either be at the crap tables or behind bars.

My prediction - Khan's star continues to rise until we see the likes of himself and Saul Alvarez, Jose Benevidez Jnr, etc mature until they are in direct competition.

I havent seen anyone in a long time who is as good at dodging punches as McCloskey. Heres hoping he knocks Amirs head in.

I think folk just use his chin as an excuse to laugh at him.

The real reason they don't support him is a lot simpler - he is a * *. :56:

Must admit though, he did impress me against Maidana. Didn't think he had it in him.

Freddie has worked his usual magic - still got a dodgy chin, and always will, but as well as his defense being a lot more sound technically, his recovery time is crucially a lot quicker now. Intensive leg work or summat, I'm not sure, but end result he is more robust against a barrage.

I think the key to beating him is still the Prescott approach - once you've wobbled him, you need to steam in full tilt & finish it immediately.

Certainly has potential. It is basically Hatton Promotions that are doing it, so a bit of an unknown quantity.

I see today they're talking about Crolla v Gavin Rees for the undercard though, which could be interesting...
