    Celtic target Bulgarian playmaker Aleksander Tonev

    Celtic are set to sign Aleksander Tonev from Aston Villa, the Sunday Post have reported that the Parkhead club have been locked in talks with the English club over the last 24 hours. Ronny Deila is understood to have targeted the winger as a top signing target. It is likely the player will be secured on a season long loan deal with a view to a more permanent deal should he perform well. (Sunday Post)

    Couldn't care less that he knocked us back a year ago. My issue is that he has been * since he knocked us back.

    Another player dismissed as pish.

    If he can prove himself and we have an option to buy I don't see why not. People were keen on him last year. I'd like to see us linked with someone more established but I don't think we will be.

    I remember really wanting us to get this guy before he decided to go to villa. Really quick player who can crack a * of a shot with both feet, however very worrying that he couldnt break into an average villa side. From what I remember he never got a decent run in the team.

    May be a confidence player and we may be able to get him back to what he was doing before he went to villa.

    He can do one, knocked us back last year for Aston Villa because he didn't fancy the Scottish League, I doubt he feels any different now the only thing that's changed is everyone knows he can't cut it in the EPL.

    He's *. We dodged a bullet last year. I know a fair few Villa fans and they all think he's a dud. Every timeI seen him last year he looked pish. I wanted him last season too, was surprised he barely got to play until I seen him in an actual game.
