Is anyone looking forward to this? It kicks off tomorrow at 7pm with host nation Israel playing Norway, followed by England vs Italy.

It's being shown live on Sky Sports.

Norway and Israel have to be happy they were grouped together, and that Norwegian side have a few players who are very talented. Holy Pope could tell you about one at least.

That's a strong squad of players they have.

 

Was it not Mata who won the u21 a few years back, between the world cup and the Euro's? Mind there was some weird way that meant he won different age groups between each other.

 

You can get 13/2 on them in some bookies, which isn't too shabby. Spain are pretty much the favourites I think, with some places offering 2/1 on them.

 

Aye sticking a tenner on both Holland with Ladbrokes 15/2 best price and Spain 2/1 with skybet .

 

I looked up the squads earlier and there are some very good players in it.

Dzagoev, Holtby, Verrati, McEachran, Destro, Strootman, Paloschi, Luuk De Jong, Inigo Martinez, Sergio Canales, Thiago, Tello, Munain and Isco among others.

Rogne is going.

I'm gonna try and watch a lot of it, well the evening games anyway.

Can't see England doing * all with Stuart Pearce in charge.

Magnus Eikrem in the squad , great player would love him here at Celtic , can see him getting a move off the back these games . As for Mats Møller Dæhli he is with the Norway under 19s right now playing v Holland .

Why is this viewed as more prestigious than the under 20 world cup which is also this year?


Compare the 2011 England under 21 euro squad to the under 20 world cup squad only a month apart and they were a world of difference away from each other. Brazil and Argentina seemed to take it very seriously though.

 

Group B will be very interesting, amazing when you look at the teams who have well -established first team players in their squads at this level.

Looking forward to seeing Mathias Ginter (Germany), Korkorin (Russia) and Depay (Holland); although Depay may not feature to much given the strength of the other forwards.
