    Tough one, it's a huge amount of money for us in all honesty. That said, we could easily spend that on a less know quantity and end up with someone not nearly as good.

    Imo if we're going to move for Roberts we'll get him for less than £12m, probably significantly less. His future is up to him really, I believe if he expressed a desire to stay here permanently we would make it happen.

    Would love to keep hims somehow even if it's an extended loan again but the truth is ,if he has the chance to go back to City he is leaving,he has already made it clear that's where he wants to be.

    I can't see him going for any less than that, his potential is mental and he's English. £12m would probably be cheap

    12mill out of a 15mill kitty for paddy. No chance! YEs i agree the wee man has talent but couldnt warrent spending that type of money on him. If he was a lubo or a larson, yes but not for paddy. In all honestly, f he was going for around 5mill then yes hes worth the punt but 12mill from a 15mill budget is a big no no. We need that money to unearth a few gems thatll take us into europe and onto the latter stages of the uefa cup or even onto the final.

    I don't think he'd cost quite as much to be honest. How much was it City actually paid for him, not counting the future fees and all that *. £4 million?

    He could fail to live up to the expectation. I agree it looks like he's got something but most I'd pay is £6-7m. City paid less than £12m and they are * loaded. There's a reason we don't pay that much for players.
