Are you comparing the EPL to the SPL, thats laughable. Theres a gulf in class, a * massive gulf in class. Lets be honest, the standard of football in the SPL is below average at best. Only two good sides, and theyre both losing there touch atm and letting the others catch up.

Im also not implying that because Real Madrid want him he's a good player im saying if Madrid's wages wernt up to his expectations i can't see celtic being able to afford him.

The Epl may well be better but there is not a massive gulf in class. There is a massive gulf in finances. Plus atleast there are scots playing in the spl the only way to make the epl good is to buy foreigners.

Some of the lesser clubs in scotland like Dundee Utd,Hearts, Hibs and maybe Motherwell would give the likes of stoke and Blackburn a good game if they played

Its sad to admit it but the way Football is atm its all about a club's financial status wether they succeed or not. Wether it's buying foreign player's or investing money in the youth system etc., money is a factor.

There is a huge gulf in class, there is no getting away from that. At present, we can give a top English side a good game as a one off, but with our current side if we were in the EPL we would get slaughtered. We wouldn't have a chance.

Pennant is a good pacey, traditional right winger, someone who would improve us dramatically, as Naka does not possess much pace at all. IF we could afford him, it would be fantastic, and I'm sure WGS wouldn't have to think twice about signing him, but there is not a chance in todays game that we can afford him.

And, just a point, to question somebodies support for the club because they are a realist, it unbelievable, and fickle.
