Punishing The Players

All the debate has drove me to a poll, I want to see what side of the fence everyones on. Now with McGeadys fine and ban its went mad in that thread. Some backing the Manager and others slating him to *.

I'm going to ask a simple question here, DO YOU support the Manager (with approval from the board) when it comes to player discipline or DON'T YOU?

Feel free to give a valid reason as to your answer.

 

So long as WGS's not being petty about something and there has been a breach of discipline, then its A-Okay with me!

 

Surely the board are not petty, he has their backing

 

Surely we cant answer this question until we know the extent of what McGeady did, if he just questionned WGS tactical decisions during the game then to be honest i'd stand by aiden as I think players should have the right to give their views on such things. If he was however totally out of order then I stand behind WGS and the board.

I agree with the manager if he has consulted with the board, which he has done. It doesnt look like a rash or personal decision because the top brass agree that the player was wrong and needs to be disciplined.

Behind Strachan all the way. You start acting up, you deserve the punishment. The fact that this action has the board's support indicates that it's not just a personal vendetta by Strachan, and that McGeady has done something which warrants a fine and suspension.

 

yeah, ive been saying it for ages, the players r drink all the time and some even smoke, when thing like this happen, the manager lets them do what they want, the players start to see the manegers a soft touch and dont realy listen to what he says, look at martin jol at spurs, their is a prime example, u need to disaplin ur players to get the best out of them!

 

I'm not saying they are, i wouldnt expect them to be.

 

ill wait til i find out more,as adults who are privileged to be in there position,i find it hard to blame one or the other,or feel sorry for whoever

if they look at themselves in the mirror and see where other people are in life,then mabye they could see how fortunate they are

 

Well I'd like to know exactly what happened but if the board back the manager then I'm sure it's not something trivial he's getting suspended for.

I voted no i dont back strachan. I think mcgeady is wrong for what he done and should be punished but not in a way that weakens our team especially against rangers. He shoulda had a hefty fine and leave it at that. We caant afford to have him out at ibrox with maloney injured as well.

 

Where are the 10 people that dont agree with discipline.

I would like these cowards to post the reason why players shouldnt be disciplined

 

Its a really tough one for me, from what ive read im inclined to back Strachan so far but i dont know the full story and that could change.
