whats the weirdest name you've ever heard a person called?
For me it has to be Richard (*) Mould!

 

There was an old lady from where i,m from called Annie Boat Feet due to her unnaturally big flippers.

 

2 Spanish female ones. And unfortunately real. One on facebook called

Dulce Canal (Sweet Channel)

and another one called

Dolores Fuertes (Tranlsatable as Strong Pains).

Poor women.

 

Was that yon wummin whose brother was Freddy flipper?

My great Granny from Letterkenny was called Mini Austin. Straight up.

Just remembered. An English friend of mine from years ago, had a great uncle and aunt from Yorkshire I think. He was Bramwell Honeyball. can't remember her name but he had another aunt called Ivy Moss.

Totally true. No doubt they had a Jethro and an Obediah in the family too.

* is not uncommon in Spain as a name in itself. I think it might have started as a short form of Estefanía, but '*' is a real name itself now.

I've met a few Fannys myself and felt sorry especially for the ones who said they planned on going to england to work.

There's also an Irish tune called * Powers, named after a real person. Written by O'Carolan if I'm not mistaken.

used to be a guy that stayed near us called mr j dobbie got calld mr jobbie poor guy hated it

 

This is true when I worked in Debenhams years ago, we had Mr Sillitoe in charge if the shoe department, Mr Jelly in charge of Catering, Mr Barbour in charge of Menswear there was more but the best was Cameron Mann the Camera Man in charge of you guessed it photography..........................................
