The what are u eating thread

My wife made today an tarte flambe ( do not know the right word in English, somethin like a Pizza for example - with onyon cheese bacon and cream). It is that what you eat at autumn in France or south Germany, drinkin Riesling (white wine) to it at a temperature of 16° Celsius. Mhhhhhhhhhhh it´s my favorite taste at these days. Mate, when you go nowerdays to Strasbourg ( France ), you can smell it every where and you can see the people eating and drinking good white wine - that´s class mate - but when you make it yourself than it is fabolous .

Easter virgil at Strasbourg Cathedral


My local parish church has merged with another - its been happening for a long time. And most of the important services are held in the Christ Resusité which is rather inaccessible. I wanted to go to the Easter Virgil. It is the most dramatic of services in France where the paschal fire is lit and the church goes from darkness into light. So we went to the Cathedral. Strasbourg has a famous gothic cathedral. Vinita, my Hindu friend, and Paula, normally Church of England, came along.

It was very dramatic. The fire, the organ music, the array of people in white garb all processing in. I am not sure how many bishops annd at least one archbishop. What does a white hat signify? We lit our little candles from each other and repeated our baptismal vows. I appreciated the fact that they ensured a varied representation of people serving. and there were women altar servers and different ethnicities. The acoustics were wonderful. I actually got the sermon. I know it is not supposed to be a spectacle but I was glad it was a wonderful service especially when I had the others with me.
Nothing else much to report except that it was a wet Easter and I did the tourist round with Paula. We had the obligatory tarte flambé flammkueche in Petite France and went into the Modern Art Museum. We looked at shop windows, had a drink at Le Gayot and went home.
