Ive got more class in my left nut than the entire Aalborg team have put together.

You might have the UEFA Cup, but we both know who the better team is dont we? As for world class, Boruc on top form is world class. McGewady on top form is pretty close.
So, name me one of your players who would get in our team. What? None of them? Thought so.

Play us with a full side you flukey *, you'd get shagged sideways.

First of all: Thank's for a great time in Glasgow and in Aalborg! Good lads, the lot of you!

Now, Aalborg is a * club from a * town. We know this. Hard not to. We only win the championship every 10 or so years. We spend almost no time in Europe and even less in the CL.

I can clearly understand the frustrations that rage this thread. Celtic's a big club with traditions, money and support - and yet you lose to us. A draw at mighty Park Head and a loss at our pitiful (what Manure-press called a) Lego-ground.

So? With all respect to and for Celtic, your team is just not that good. No luck? Sure. You have star players? Sure. You still lost to a team that collectively cost less than 1.000.000£. Aalborg can take on any team in the SPL, except Celtic and your beloved neighbours, and win any day. No wonder you're winning there. But at this time, your team has no more to do in Europe than we do. It's just a sad fact, and by no means a credit to Aalborg.

I hear people saying, that Celtic had the first half. Maybe. Shots on goal: Aalborg 4 - Celtic 2, on target: 2-0 in the first half! No team is in control as long as the opponent has possession - any other approach is utter ignorance.

All in all. Celtic needs to beef up (or improve own players) dramatically in order to see better times in Europe. Our win wasn't fair, maybe, but a better team than Celtic should and would have taken us over 2 games. Luck or no luck.

Well mate, a clue? I'd imagine as much as you have about Aalborg. And then some. I've followed Celtic on tv for 20 odd years. In the SPL (Danish tv usually have the dignity to air The Old Firm), in the UEFA, in the CL etc. I've seen how good you used to be, and where you are now (I was at both games). And to me, as said, the difference is rather great. You choose Henke as your username. Wonderful player in every respect. But he's history, and exactly the kind of player Celtic is missing.

sorry bogehog we are well aware of what we were and what we have become downturn in class but qualified last 16 the previous 2 seasons your input is certainly not required there are enough of us fans to moan and complain about that the fact of the matter is we struggled with injuries to key players we are by no means the best footballing side going but we are several levels above aalborg in terms of vision attacking will to win and possession football but for a flukey goal and loovens panicking positions would be different but hey ho thats football and i am also of the position that you are only here to infuriate and annoy my fellow brethren with your views and pisstake aalborg badge this is a celtic supporters forum i dont give a * if youve watched games on tv for 10 20 50 years you are not a celtic fan therefore you shouldnt be on here take your view to the simians on the other side of the city i bid you adieu

Aalborg doesn`t have any worldclass palyers, never said anything like that. But I just find it strange that clubs like Celtic and Rangers, who has about 60000 to each match always seem to buy players on the rebound or no names. Ok sometimes the 2 clubs have had class players, but they do have to many second range players. Is it the money?? I mean they are both rich clubs are they not??

 

We lost. What Bogehoj is saying is not offensive to me at all. He's perfectly entitled to his opinion. I prefere to be gracious in defeat to a little team that did the job on the night when it mattered, whehter or not we should have thrashed them. We didn't, simple as that. Good luck to Aalborg in the UEFA cup is what I say. A little team from a little town, they'll need it.

If it were Porto or other teams that have cynically beaten us in the past I might feel differently. Not the case here.

in champions league we normally get he same teams lol well a hope we see allborg again soon a beleive big teams bounce back and we will i beleive it will be a five nil thrashing nxt time they come and second of all which does make it embarrasing is that teams like hearts hibs lol most of spl are better than allborg aberdeen proved that last season against copenhagen who are better than allborg and it was quite a healthy gap of goals that the dons won with and as football terms altogether league and national the scots are better at football a cant remeber the last time a danish team were in the last sixteen a cant remember any danish sides in the uefa cup final i beleive scotlands had 2 in the past five yeers who we kiddin allborg is the equivilent of a stood on * on the pavement as i said we will come back better in europe

 

Fair enough, we should bounce back, but I still prefer to be gracious in defeat and give Aalborg their due. Remember a few years back when we beat Barça in the UEFA cup? Same scenario - we being the wee team. The game in the Nou Camp: we hardly left our own half and Barça, a superior team had 73% possession. I was the only Celtic fan in a bar with about 150 Barça fans - most criticised Celtic heavily for their tactics and one guy wanted to punch my face in, but 149 of them gave credit where it was due for Celtic doing the job no matter how angry they were with their own team.

lol cheers in work not got enough time to put them in. i do agree but you didnt see any celtic fans saying we were better than anyone in the spanish league. i just found it deisrespectful some of the stuff that guy came out with our goal against barca was genius and not flukey though like theirs
