Celts Set To Offer Petrov A New Deal

CELTIC plan to open talks over a new extended for weekend match-winner Stilian Petrov. Parkhead manager Gordon Strachan has told the influential Bulgaria captain that he features stongly in the vision of his club.
And, after securing goalkeeper Artur Boruc on a three-and-a-half year dea, Celtic hope to fend off conveous glances from England by giving Petrov a big-money contract in the run up to Christmas.

 

If this is true then it can only be good news for the club (dependant on whether Petrov accepts it of course). Twice already Stan has got us the 3 points when we haven't been playing to great, a great asset for the team IMO.

As long as the offer on the table reflects his worth the board have done the best they can. However he is being underpaid at present, they may just up this rather than give a wage similar to what he would get in the EPL. Then he may turn it down and decide to move on.

stan deserves everything gd that comes his way and a nice new contract is a gd start for celtic 2 repay him! hopefully he'll take it and be our hero for longer!!
