Just wondered. He is left sided (but very two footed), pacey for a big guy, a good passer and looked OK at RB recently. If he could, the defence would be much stronger. Did he ever play LB before for previous clubs?

    Technically he could.

but i would much rather have someone who can defend, attack and cross the ball.

I feel he can only defend.

I agree that ideally a team like us need someone with attacking ability but with Naylor so poor at crossing anyway what is there to lose short term.

we would be very strong in defence and at set pieces but dont think he would have much to offer going forward

He was awful at right back recently the only thing he done all game was when Caldwell was substituted and he got shipped in at CB (scored a goal cleared a few away) I would rather see him make a partnership with Caldwell in the centre.

I personally think the knives have been unfairly out for the guy. To me he looks to have everything you want in a defender and just needs games.

Wouldn't hurt if wgs plays him there it would be worth a shot just to see how he does there.

Aye, I think anybody could be better than Naylor at LB. Loovens would do it very well IMO.

If he had any pace he would have claimed that spot already but he is really slow, far slower than Loovens.

Doesn't look the type to be sprinting down the wing, overlapping, and getting crosses in.

Not for me, i think he's good enough to become a permanent fixture at centre half though.

I watched Belhadj, the left back we were supposedly after, play for Portsmouth the other night and he would have been perfect. Absolute nutcase...Celtic fans would have taken to him straight away.

€3.6 million to Lens and they loaned him out to Portsmouth. :54: Would have been perfect for us.

Yeah he's there on loan with the option of making it permanent, which they will do if he continues performing like he has done.

been really impressed with the big man and i'm sure he'd do a job at LB but would really prefer an attacking LB
