if Sven Gorann Eriksson gets back to 4-4-2
formation then Poland stands no real
chance against England.

He also says something about 1973 is not going to happen
again as the gap in skills between Poland and England
is bigger blah blah blah - oh, and he also makes fun
of Austria askin' "What kind of team it is with 3 coaches ?"

Let me remind you Mr. Denver that England scored 14 goals
in this qualifying campaign and Austria scored 13 - not really
a big difference in attacking power right ? ( Poland scored
26 goals btw ).

How can English be so feckin' self-confident after loosing
1-4 to Denmark in friendly and then 0-1 to Northern Ireland.

I hope we win or draw against them on Wednesday so they
willl have to fight in play-offs against Czech Republic, Spain
or France and they stay home for being a bunch of uppish,
priggish, swollen-headed *

 

You overreact. It's only one reporter. Not all Eglish think like that.
They're trying to build self confidence and opinion llike this is the one of ways to do this. Similiar things (but less controversal) said Owen few days ago.

the english press have been spouting bullshit articles for years. in 1997 i remember seeing things like "why england can win the world cup in 2002". i'm pretty sure they showed pictures of Andy Cole and The Neville brothers and other *. the english national press is their teams worst enemy. i would make sure my team read what was said about them before playing the english.

I think England will win, 2-0 probably. I dont think they are overated, they have a great team with the likes of gerrard and beckham. But i wouldn't say poland don't have a chance but i still think England will win

 

They have good players but it's not team. They even don't like each other. In contrast Polish NT is the real team with good players but weak defense. Result is unknown but I believe in success.

czech has 24 points and two matches in hand... but their group has 7 teams so we could substract 6points for matches with last team in group...

croatia has 20 points and two matches in hand (6 teams group)

if both they win both matches we do not qualify from secound place because

czech wil have 30 - 6 = 24 point (the same as we have) but they have better goal balance then poland

and croatia will have 26 points so more than poland have now


to qualify poland have to win a group = win or draw with england

or czech shell lose one point = draw or loos witch netherland
croatia lose three points = loos with sweden

there are some other posibilities for poland to be a lucky loser but likelihood of it is much much smaller

croatia will gain no more than 4 points in two games and and will have worse goal balance than poland
seweden NT doesnt gain more then 2 points in two games... or 3 points and will have worse goal balance than poland
netherlands NT doesnt gain more than 1 point in two games... or 2 and
and will have worse goal balance than poland
