for those of you saying that he would be on the bench for Arsenal... Boruc was suppose to be on the bench when he came to Celtic, yet not only did he win the 1 spot, but he has been stellar and proved hes deserving to start
if he moves to Arsenal, he will do the same, Boruc knows that if he sits on the bench he wont start for the Polish NT

All this thing about Boruc doesn't worry me much coz it's a part of bargaining process... but... it's second time I read Arturs complaints about training which does not develop his skills. There are just putting him on the goal and shoot. Geeee.... If this is true I'm not suprised that Celtic had so many problems with keepers. Also in such case there is no much hope for Marsh to become class keeper.

agility, rephlex, speed, decision making (keep the line or go out), jumping, passing (foot), tackling outside the box if needed, etc etc..

Well wouldn't agility, reflexes, speed and decision making all be improved by taking shots?

if it was, why on earth they do specialistic training for keepers? if its all about putting the guy between the posts and shooting, why dont put BBJ on the line, and hire some guys to shoot 24/7. BBJ should be world class keeper by december.
    no hard feelings mate :)

Well ok but in the old days of football keepers never had all the special training they did today. So how come keepers arent as good as they use to be? Its quite obvious that being a keeper is a natural thing and you cant improve on it that much

its not being only a natural thing anymore. game is much much faster than it used to be. the players have some skills that u couldnt imagine 10 yrs ago. balls are designed to fly faster and rotate more.
if you got eurosport on your cable, they regularry show some world cup games from the 90's. its not so long ago, but when i watch the game its obvious they play different. slower, much much slower. Like u say, natural talent is a must, but without hard work on keeprs training no goalie will do any good on decent level of gameplay.

I been hearing rumours that Timo Hildebrand is the keeper Arsenal is supposedly looking at, if they sign him i doubt they'll sign Boruc if any of this paper talk is to believed.

Probably he is, so let me amend few things to your list....keeper language, back passing, angle play, box domination, positioning, keeper techniques, diving drills, shot stopping drills, footwork drills, fitness drills,... the list is almost endless. And there is a lot of special accesories which facilitate such tranings.. like this reactaball...
