    I couldn't find a thread on him so here's a new one.

Is this guy injured? If not, where is he? And I suppose the real question is, why did Celtic buy him?:97:

He'll also have to bide his time. He's a wide player and over 21 so he is going to have to wait until Naka, McGeady or Maloney is injured to get a shot.

You've got to give him a chance mate. Both he and Koki have been injured all season. I'm hoping one of them will make it at least.

I don't know much about the lad. Did you suspect that he wouldn't be able to make the transition when Celtic signed him mate?

you cant really say that when they havnt even played for the first team, nor given the chance to. They are still young, give them time.

Ahh, but you forget, everyone on here secretly has higher credentials and more knowledge about football than all the coaches and scouts from Celtic put together. He doesn't really need to see McCourt because he just knows.

Sheesh... if we'd listened to people like him we would've never signed Sammy and Larsson wouldn't have lasted past his first few games. A little patience never hurt anyone, it's not like we paid a fortune for him, or are paying him a fortune in wages.

    The voice of reason. :50:

Even if he doesn't work out, we'll probably sell him on for a profit just like Sno. That's business and business cannot be considered a separate issue from our transfer deals -- they're very intertwined. [shrug]

He's not good enough based on.......?

He'll get his chance and then we can decide. Until such times everyone is using guesswork.

lads in all fairness we have some very decent players that dont get a look in ... so what makes ya think wgs is going to give mc court a chance, i think he would do a decent job for celtic in the long run . strachan should give him a chance against the lower teams or maybe in a cup competition. spearthrower hasnt a clue about football.........

He was out injured for pre-seaon, didn't play in Derry's 10 matches prior to his departure from there. His stamina has been questioned at all his clubs including Rochdale (social activities his problem with us). I watched the Celtic v Rangers reserve game and he looked as if he was holding back at times, however, his perception, guile and passing were a cut above anyone else on the pitch. HE was able to spot the runners from midfield and the forwards out with ease. I was very impressed, as the Paddy I remember simply played for himself, got the ball, beat men, and stood with his hands on his hips. He is more aware of everything around him. He wouldn't have travelled to Spain if there wasn't hope for him at Celtic. If the guy gets a 5 or 6 match run in the side he'll be able to cope with SPL defenders.

McCourt. If anyone thinks this guy in his mid 20's who failed a trial at Motherwell and plays in the Irish league wil take us to the next level you're living in cloud cuckoo land. Not good enough, waste of money. Seen him a few times and in our reserves. He'll never be an SPL player, end of story.

Mizuno. Maybe. Very young, has great touch at times and looks very * in patches in reserves, definate prospect so get off his back ffs.
