i think that was the point i was trying to make to her....you know our culture is a very laid back one and we wont bother you if you dont bother us kind of thing so i dont see why she feels the need to make a big deal out of nothing

I'd have burst into laughter the minute she associated a pair of tracksuit bottoms with religion.

There's 1 thing that's certain when you're arguing with an idiot......you will never win.

my opinion many will agree not them all but as i said the nut jobs that bring religion into everyday like example with her tracky bottoms .... remember when they went off their nut when a newspaper published immages of the prophet mohammed yet they can slag off other cultures and religions and pull people up in public and get away with it aye thats not on.

if anyone is easily offended with something as little as that they dont deserve to live here because life here will just be very offensive and they wont be able to get on in our culture i bet if you where to put that to them they would think twice

    Well done.

    You were totally right.

Religious tolerance obviously only applies to certain people.

to me, equality and diversity means that people of all creeds and background have to respect others and accept that they can be challenged should they show intolerance to others, so well done to you, you were right and you argued in a logical way, without losing it!

The woman is an idiot. Anyone who sees a symbol of another religion and is offended by it are just wrong. It's a shame because the opinions of people like her leads to the whole political correctness thing which then leads to a bad feeling towards everyone of non-Christian faiths who are seen to want to change the country. The world will get nowhere if people don't learn to appreciate others beliefs. Those who really live by their religion can do this. In Dubai I see people with rosary beads hanging on their car mirrors, it doesn't cause a problem, Muslim, Christian, Hindu, everyone lives together. Yes Dubai is in a Muslim country, it doesn't mean there isn't room for others.
