    Fav Celtic Player:
    Kyogo. A phenomenon
Read the whole thing, then read it again - was not delighted when he was appointed, and never will be, but he said nothing that seemed overly controversial to me:

1."We should condemn racism and sectarianism without fear or favour wherever they arise,"

Nothing wrong with that - i agree entirely.

2."Few of those who sing this song will have stopped to think that famine is non-sectarian and the millions of people who died or were forced into mass emigration - some of them to Scotland - were from all faiths and traditions within Ireland."

An extremely significant point to take note of, and one which is all to often forgotten by the Dark Side and their ilk.

3."The assistance of true Celtic supporters in weeding out the minority who persist in that (sectarian) behaviour, usually at away games, is greatly appreciated and results in stringent action."

Quite right - how else should we as a club act?

As i say, nothing controversial in my opinion - also, very little that is new to what we have all heard before.

Well said. A ridiculous double standard. Sorry fionn but you appear to be obsessed with the tribal/chip on shoulder/vic'tim' complex stuff to the exclusion of football. Its depressing in this day and age where we are moving away from all that pish. How you could make Reids statement into something negative is beyond me.

Let not kid ourselves into thinking we don't have any problem amongst our support, it may not be as large as rangers have but we still have a small minority - who I heard giving D.Cousin racial abuse at the last rangers game - who we need to try and stamp out.

I agree 100% with John 'Stay here and help us go forward' Reid, the opening remarks of the poster re Mr Reid said it all.

Right to condemn them, right to remind our own support of our values.

    Well said Mr Reid.
