Said it in the match thread but I'll repeat, is Balikwisha better than this guy? No. Symptomatic of our half arsed and scattergun recruitment.

Think with Jota out and Maeda needed RW he would be our best option LE.

I like Tounekti but he’s not the same level of threat

Tounekti I won’t say categorically that he lacks it just now. Some better finishing from some of his play, and having the stat for the assist for the exact same thing except a strikers finished it wouldn’t be him getting questioned as much.

Think his end product has been a mix of unlucky and poor, but its not non-existent like is being made out since last night.

One thing though, Palma got labelled lazy, and he’s a much harder worked than Tounekti defensively.

For me he had an absolute crisis of confidence here that came post his injury. I actually think he tried to keep going when not fully fit at first. Both for his national team and us.

Despite how bad he was playing in a game he used to always put a couple of great balls in but we had no one finishing them off at the time and a complete lack of presence up top. It’s no surprise at Poznan who play Ishak as a big centre forward to me that he plays well off him.

He definitely wasn’t lazy as he was labelled by some. He worked hard off the ball and was pretty effective at pressing. He also done well for us in the Champions League and looked like one of our only threats at that level.

Ahh I was thinking about Tounektis dribbling and control, with Palmas crossing and shooting.

Palma couldn’t do what Tounekti has shown he has in spades, Tounekti hasn’t shown as much as Palma crosses, passing and shooting but he has had flashes that it’s there. Just needs to deliver on they flashes.

Basically, add them together and you have one Jota

I thought there was talk but never actually got one in place, thats why there was a lot of * about before it was confirmed? Thinking more I might be mixing his transfer and the wee Aussie guys into the one mess.

Hope we don’t, the fee agreed with Olympiakos was too low for what it could potentially be depending on how the loan goes.

Don’t know why he’s just been labelled as * and discarded, lowball options on a loan, when we’ve seen albeit briefly, what he can do.

Good comparison is 4 months of great highlights and some form at WBA we got £3.5m for Mikey Johnstone. Before that £800k was the fee touted for him. Palma similar sort of player that can steal the show and have the highlights that get shared and hyped. If we wanted to punt, should have been Championship no fee agreed

Jesus they’re unreadable with adverts more and more man.

Where have they got that fee from? We had £2.5m agreed with Olympiakos that they didn’t think worth it, a year less on his contract and his loan the year before not going well, us upping it to £4m to a team that don’t pay £4m fees for players doesn’t feel like it’s right.
