Good performance and some much needed goals to boost the confidence. Definitely moved the ball quicker and we were more direct. Falkirk like to try and play under McGlynn so are probably a decent opponent to face as they don’t sit in as much as other teams, however they were coming off the back of two straight wins and are going along well this season so far. Bigger tests lie ahead, starting Sunday, but tonight was a step in the right direction.

Mental how different it was with the same players playing the same positions mostly, maybe Nygren left and Hatate right which we've not seen.

But much more direct, better tempo, more runs forward off the ball etc than we've seen in nearly a year. Far more entertaining and better to watch and much more of a goal threat.

The amount of balls into the box and through balls for strikers to run into was crazy compared to the past while! More direct but still mixing it on the wings!
    Much better

Was very Angeball like, minus the certain patters under Ange like the full-backs tucking in and the balls slid in to the wingers and first time low cut backs along the ground. Plus Kenny I noticed isnt much of a fan of pressing anyone.

But the forward running, forward passing and energy and tempo were what we usually watched under Ange, always trying to get in behind, plenty of movement and taking the game to the opposition not really worrying about the defensive shape.

It’s about managing players to their strengths no about one man

Enjoyed that tonight, far more direct which created chaos to the Falkirk defence to which we pounced on to the loose balls to create more attacking moves. Well played lads.

Bench looked slightly make shift at the start, but by the end felt like positive play and decent timing of subs showed that we do have better squad depth than other teams.

Really enjoyed that , still buzzing this morning although that is probably down to seeing MON on the touchline . Could see the players enjoyed that , all smiling at full time .probably the first game i have watched this season that i wasn’t shouting at the screen or sleeping ! . Can definitely take those huns now .

Funnily enough ive been exactly the same as yourself. What a difference that was last night. Most ive enjoyed a game in a good while. Was losing the rag in most games before it. With all that side to side pointless passing.

    Absolute night and day performance.

You know I'm starting to think it's maybe not all the fault of the summer recruitment as a certain poster on here would have you believe.

MON would have taken 5 off of * Almaty over 2 games.

Maloney has to take a lot of credit for that last night.

Not touting him for the manager job but, if he can get us playing like that, definitely be handy to keep around when the new manager arrives. Think he might just not have the presence to go it as the main man, hence MON helping out.

I know a few people who still talk about him like he's just another useless jobs for the boys appointment we need to get rid of, as if the Belgium national team isn't higher level experience than most of our coaching staff.

Absolutely no fan of the board, and thought Desmond’s statement was totally unbecoming, but last nights performance certainly lifted my spirits.

The endless, tedious ‘U’ was noticeably reduced, and for the majority of the game the players selected just went for it. Success was a bit sporadic, but pleasingly the intentions were far more direct and positive.

Also really liked how aggressive Trusty and Scales were attacking the ball, and felt our pressing across midfield and attack was also better than in other games so far this season.

And as a final bonus, great to see Osmand get a few minutes, let’s hope he now kicks on

My biggest takeaway after watching back the highlights is I wish we could play against Scott Bain every week :giggle1:
