You don't need to be overly experienced for it to work.

Maresca and Iraola had about 2 years of coaching or management before their current jobs and at the time of us interviewing them.

Nicky Hayen, was managing in Wales before returning to Belgium and taking Brugge u21s.

Sometimes its just about taking a risk and noting potential. Whether now is the time to take a risk we don't know.

By all accounts Bellamy is very highly rated and for me he certainly has the personality to be Celtic manager.

I don't think we have any chance of getting him but tbf if he is to move anywhere then over the water to Scotland still relatively close to family would maybe appeal. But I agree. Not happening.

International management is quite far removed from the day to day demands of club management.

Bellamy could be great but until hes had experience at club level he would be a No for me.

Bellamy has always been quite an explosive character.

Can't see him working well within our current structure. Her be out calling the board * after 1 transfer window

I'm not sure Bellamy would survive the pressure of being in Glasgow for that long, he's a known hot head and I'm not sure he'd be cute enough with the media

    Coming from Belgium this one

    https://www.nieuwsblad.be/sport/voe...an-de-schotse-club-is-concreet/101080164.html

On Monday evening, it was announced that Brendan Rodgers had resigned from Celtic. Rodgers made the decision to step down after the disappointing start to the season. After nine matches, Celtic are already eight points behind surprise leaders Heart of Midlothian in the domestic league. The 52-year-old Rodgers had started a second term at Celtic in 2023.

Nicky Hayen is one of the possible successors. Last season, Club Brugge, under the guidance of the Limburg native, drew 1-1 at Celtic in the Champions League, and this summer, the blue-blacks defeated Rangers twice decisively in the preliminary rounds of the Champions League (6-0 and 1-3). Our compatriot is therefore no stranger to Scotland.

If Celtic does go all-out for Hayen in the coming days/weeks, they'll have to fork out money to lure him away from the blue-blacks. Hayen signed an improved contract with Club Brugge in June and can't leave for free mid-season.

In an interview with our newspaper last week, Hayen indicated that he's currently happy at Club Brugge and wants to go for that 20th league title. It's no secret, though, that he's also open to an international adventure. "I know I'm on the shortlist, but everything has to be right. Suppose a club from Saudi Arabia comes, but my family can't come along, then it's not a good fit," he said at the time.

It remains to be seen whether Celtic will be his next destination.

True, i'd stay away from him for now.

Doing well at Wales but, managing a team who play 2 games every 2 month probably suits him and they have no expectation either really, a * team who if they do well its a bonus so he has nothing to lose.

The pressure here of needing to win every week and working with players day in day out 11 month a year, he might end up leathering a few *.

Folk getting themselves wound up for Hayen. No happening. Don't do it to yourselves.....

But aim much higher than Steve Clarke. Love yourself and Celtic Football Club.

Same people that said Rodgers won't go, won't get sacked, won't resign. :56:

I'm starting to think Hayen is a goer.

Think about it. Why would he quit a club in the CL? A well-functioning club.

Can't see Hayen leaving a modern and well oiled machine like Brugge and coming to a dysfuntional and outdated Celtic.

He’s probably the most realistic and one of the best options we’ve got with the added bonus of him turning down the huns…
