I always felt sorry for him the only time you ever heard about him is when things were going poorly he started to take dogs abuse but on the other hand just happy I don't need to read any more pish about him being the 'defensive coach'

I spoke to John Kennedy about 4.30pm on Monday and you start to understand that something wasn't quite right. But it was only around 6pm that I was asked if I could come and support Martin.

“It took a few hours for that to really materialise and for other parts of the club to get things in place.

“In terms of the staff, I called Mark Fotheringham at 11.30pm on Monday night and asked if he could be at Lennoxtown on Tuesday morning, We arrived at 6.30am and Stephen McManus was the same.

“I asked Stephen at that time to organise in terms of the session that we were wanting. Stevie Woods was the same. Gavin (Strachan) was the same.

“So, it was around 11.30pm on Monday night when we were trying to create a structure and give some form of stability to the players.

“Did I get any sleep at all? Not much.”

Best move for him and for us, he’s at an age and has a volume of experience now where it’s now or never to stand on his own 2 feet.

If true, so far that's the worst thing he's done.

Sacking a man to spite someone else then you are just a *.

Who's that you're quoting? I thought it was you that'd phoned Kennedy at first.

Would tie in with why we've not acknowledged the fact he's left. John Kennedy departs Celtic as he's Brendan Rodgers pal doesn't make for a great statement

Could end up being the best thing that happens for him. Silver lining is he'll probably go out and get a decent manager role now over the next few months. Could see the first lower-half SPFL team to sack their manager going for him.

If true that’s shocking from Desmond but may work out best for everyone, hope he goes and challenges himself as manager somewhere now and kicks on.

“Your job is to support the manager in whatever he needs”

“You supported the manager too much, get out”

    Desmond is a colossal *

Could see him end up in charge of Aberdeen at some point this season. Wherever he ends up I wish him nothing but the best.
