It's water under the bridge now.
No doubt Brendan will go back to his sun lounger in Malaga for a few months, still a multi millionaire.
Maybe if he is lucky, he will still get another job in the lower regions of the EPL.

Ive got * all to back it up, I'm as well as just putting into conspiracy theory thread and weld the tinfoil hat to my cranium.

But with Rodgers resign and in theory foregoing salary, I wouldnt be surprised this * has all been a dirty little handshake privately by Rodgers and DD as the DD statement surely ensures Rodgers gets a claim out of the club whilst inversely * on Rodgers in this mad hatter DD statement. He was infact * on his board and refocusing attention on them.

It is * crazy I know

With the size of Rodgers ego he is probably absolutely delighted and will stay quiet and wait for a book release to tell his "truth".

Surely has to say something on this?

I desperately want him to just give his open and honest side of things.

Think the inference is that Rodgers wouldn’t know open and honest if it hit him on the * with a banjo

The amount of * itching to take credit for Rodgers leaving.

Guy was an absolute super power up here. Steamrolled the lot of them when it mattered.

Unlike Lennon, Rodgers has gone when we can still save our season.

Brendan might be diplomatic in his response, as you know what they say about chatting * about former employers could do damage to him getting hired again.

But the same can be said for what he’s been accused of by Dermot, but how could he hold his tongue when the Scooby-Doo villain has essentially assassinated him in that statement last night?

We're talking about a guy who made up a nonsense story about keeping Danny McGrain in a job and telling fans the board bleed green & white just a few weeks ago.

A person is always within their right to resign from a job, but when you spent over two years saying you guarantee you’ll be there for three seasons over and over it makes you look like a *. The article you refer to was in poor taste, if someone inside the club actually said those things. The Sun ran the story and the source was only ever described as “a club insider”. I trust The Sun even less than I trust the Celtic board so I will view that with scepticism. There isn’t any evidence that he was personally treated like *. I’m not defending the board as they need to go, but Rodgers has left the squad hanging twice during a season, leaving us with uncertainty after speaking publicly about his love for the club and how it was his dream job (first time) and that he would guarantee three years (second time). He’s shown that his word means nothing.

Not being backed properly is far more about the board’s incompetence rather than any malicious strategy against Rodgers, especially when you consider he’s broken our transfer record spend in both of his spells at the club. Rodgers himself stated that he has the final say on all transfers, which matches what Desmond claimed yesterday.

I hope he does talk and we get a fuller picture over things, but he’s still a rat.

I would tbh, for reasons I’ve stated above. He’s a proven bullshit merchant time and time again.

Would love to see him and Lennon having a proper verbal debate about things. Would pay to see that. Rodgers would take him to the * cleaners

I didn’t label him a board yes man, never have. I agree a rat is still in the boardroom but Rodgers isn’t some innocent bystander in this. He’s been shown up as a liar, yet again.

He has also walked away from circa £2m. It’s not like he has left us for another job. Can you blame him for doing so? I know I can’t. The board have left us in a far weaker state than anything Rodgers has done. I wish Lennon had cared the same about the club when it was abundantly clear he was getting nothing out the team during the covid season, but his arrogance got in the way and he hung on. I have nothing but respect for Rodgers resigning and giving up the money. He has done it when there is still lots to play for. There’s not a doubt in my mind that the snake was in the boardroom who went to the paper giving them stories. That snake being Peter Lawwell.
