    Ummm... Huh?

Im a little confused as to why this reply is directed at me.

I merely stated Rodgers could sue the * out if him.
And that if the "doubtful" Desmonds accusations are true, then we're well rid.

Im confused by your reply mate.

The Honda civic comment was the final straw. Shouldn’t have been in the dugout Sunday past.

There’s a million issues to resolve within our club, but one thing is for sure: I feel more confident that we can win the league this morning than I did yesterday.

Rodgers was part of the problem, of that I have no doubt.

You answered your own question. We can't get them out as they don't care what the supporters think. I can't remember any football supporters sacking a board or any disgruntled customers of any company sacking the owners of that company.
You have 2 choices, you either accept that you don't have much/any power and just enjoy supporting the team on the pitch whilst having the right to complain about the board's incompetence and/or lack of ambition but not really be able to do anything about it or you decide you're fed up having the * taken out of you and vote with your feet and stop going and buying merchandise etc. I've considered stopping going a few times but have never managed to follow through on it. Tbh, enough people stopping going and the club losing money is the only thing they will actually take notice of as while they don't care about the fans opinions, they do care about money.

Whether it was or wasn't, it wasn't helpful. It was flippant, naive and unnecessary. Say it after getting beat off Real Madrid, not Dundee FFS.

Im assuming MON and Shaun are temporary as in until Ange takes it?

Id like Ange to take it till end of season....Maybe look at Marco Rose after this.

Regardless.....This Board MUST be hounded now......Lies and nothing but Lies now.

Not that everything Rodgers has said is all truth as he needed to go as well.

    Total Clearout

Ehhm yes they do not just a club it’s a business why give someone money who has no intention of being their in 12 months time could spend 20 million on players and a new manager comes in and decides they are no good Rodgers did the same thing with half of ange signings

Even though it was Dundee we were against amd the spine was still the team that won the league was a tradesman blaming his tools and not taking any blame

This is what the board want. The “I’m no fan of the board”…….but……“Aye but Rodgers” chat is the cover they need. It’s an unbelievable statement from Desmond. So full of lies and bullshit.

Desmond is a billionaire several times over so I guess he thinks he can act like some dictator. 80 million quid in the bank at Celtic is loose change for him. He’s playing games with the club and the fans. If he and Lawwell and the rest of them didn’t want to back Rodgers why did they reappoint him at all. Why didn’t they sack him during the summer when he attacked them for not investing in the team and building on the progress made last season. This is like Desmond has decided to put the golf clubs away for a few hours, he has come in and thrown a few chairs around and shout at people and then he’ll disappear back to the golf course while the club is left to drift aimlessly again. We need rid of the board and the attitude that prevails in it. Desmond though owns 31%. He won’t be got rid of.

All we can hope is that if Lawwell retires he’ll stay gone this time and his way of doing things will go with him and a new board of management takes over. Someone like Dom McKay that time showed promise before the Lawwellian types reasserted control.

I don't see a wrong in blaming both in all honesty. I think there is quite alot of evidence that Rodgers has been playing a dirty game as well.

One thing that is also very clear is that the statement is a absolute disaster and so are our board.

Yamada is crap. Maeda wanted to be gone. He probably backtracked realising you can’t say that about players and then expect them to burst a gut for you. Objectively Whether he backtracked or not he was correct. The club sold 100 goals and replaced it with 28 as the Celtic Underground article stated the other day.

This is a team that were able to compete with Bayern Munich last season and took them to the brink of extra time in a CL knockout match. We could get back to there next season and be in a position to build on it again but not with this board and their attitude.

Rodgers has done the right thing.

Wether we like him or not, some will be happy to see him go as they never trusted him, or that the football has just been turgid and needs must.
Some will be raging that the board will think they've won this battle.

But either way of an opinion and for whatever reason Rodgers has decided to step away (be that unmotivated, not supported, just * at the job, lost the dressing room, fall outs from above, whatever), he's done the right thing stepping away.
Think the hearts game was the last straw, where he has accepted he can't fix this under whatever constraints he has (self imposed or not).

Thank you Brendan and I do hope we hear more from him about all of this.

But please, let's not lose track of the bigger issues at the club.
Rodgers had his flaws and the football has been turgid.
But he's not the issue at the club.

We are a mess why couldn't he just leave and everyone at the club says thanks for everything but it's not working like a normal club would. I'll be honest although this is only a miniscule part of our problem I am glad Brendan is gone. It just wasn't working and had gone completely stale no solutions to our problems and it's no wonder the players look so low of confidence when the manger is slating them. Yes he is correct but that isn't for him to stating publicly it's really poor man management.

I think Rodgers will come out talking alot. a mixed bag of absolute nonsense and truth. Probably the reason the club wanted to go out with that. Wrong call imo.

I guess we will see when we hear from BR. Might be some spicy stuff he have told the board that he will talk about

Best thing would be as you say that both just behaved as adults

Rodgers is getting such an easy ride over this resignation, purely based on the board being a bigger issue. He’s left the squad in the lurch again, another period of uncertainty during a season. Bleating on for over two seasons about being here for three years minimum. Rat.

    I do agree.

The concern for me though is that we will never see the changes we want at board level. Given Desmonds stance in that statement, its quite obvious they don't think they've done anything wrong. Still.
