Good to hear some sense coming from someone other than myself the whole atmosphere last night was pathetic to say the least me and my young cousin were the only two who stood and sang shouted etc etc around our section, too many gloryhunters turning up expecting a walkover, and as the aalborg mob sang 'You only sing when your winning' i actually laughed, not at the chant but because this is a 2nd rate danish team actually pointing out the truth, and what did we do in return absolutely nothing, the simple fact is we never inspired/encouraged our team and they gave us nothging back to inspire/encourage them about, all in all a poor poor nights football was displayed and don't expect it to get better soon

the solution is to play better, just because we didnt win doesnt mean that we have to change the whole team etc.

The solution is a NEW manager who will not toe the boards party line, and will not accept the CL cash being kept in the bank, whilst we are fed bullshit about "DOING ALL WE CAN TO STRENGHTEN THE TEAM" (Lawell / Desmond)

Going by the rubbish posted on this thread/forums today you'd think we're the first team in the history of the Champions league to go out of the group stages after 1 game. * *.

Yes it will be hard, but the situation remains the same - we NEED to go AWAY from home and get points.

And for those calling for Strachans head - I find this laughable, no, pathetic. These people have been shouting for his head since Artmedia and 3 titles on the trot hasnt changed that. In fact lets quit the champions league and the SPL now because it doesn't matter what happens the majority of fans aren't gonna be happy. To them I say * you.

Do new managers bring new players with them immediately?

The main thing we all have to realise is that in the last 2 seasons we have been punching well above our weight at this level. I mean, we're hardly full of world class stars! You usually get what you pay for in this game unfortunately.

To help things all we can do is back the team and the manager and get off certain player's backs like McManus, Naylor etc. It doesn't help them obviously.

I'd also keep putting pressure on the board to make more signings and especially one who could give the whole club a lift.

it clicked with me last nite when i saw a defender go onto the line for nakas free kick

aalborg feared celtic before they even got on the plane but rioch had done so much homework it was going to be easy to hold celtic to a point

celtic have ben just ridiculously predictable of late

theres a system to beat celtic, walter smith knows it and it wouldnt suprise me if rioch spent time on the phone to smith or studied in depth the recent old firm match

they closed down all the areas where celtic are comfortable and dangerous, they clogged up the flanks and made it difficult for hinkel and naylor to do overlaps with maloney and naka (not that naka spent any time wide on the wing unless it was at the conrer flag)

they exposed mcmanus and drew him into midfield leaving clumsy caldwell to try to clean up (even tho he did have a decent game)

and then brown being * on the nite done them another favour in midfield

i find with celtic if its not working out for them on the wings after 20 mins they get very frustrated, we need a versatile midfielder who can direct traffic through the middle and soak up the pressure on counter attacks, (the lambert and burley combo were excellent at this)

i believe introducing hartley and crosas at half time would have turned it around and caused aalborg allsorts of problems as they would have least expected it

we played well and it was a good game but we had a good goal disallowed and a penalty saved so we didnt have the luck but i am sure they will give the other 2 teams a hard game for sure

We dont have to blame anyone. No team wins every game at home in the Champions League, Real Madrid, Barcelona, look at Man U last nite. We need to pick up points away from home and I think this will happen this year cause we cant go on losing forever. We're always too eager to blame people for the result, let it go. We'll reach the last 16 again

looking at the game, the team, performances... i'd be happy with the eufa cup spot. obviously id love to see us progress into the last 16/8... but i cant see it this time round unfortunately! disappointed not to get off to a winning start, not the best performance, but a must win game in my book! looking ahead to the coming games, imperative to get somthing in villa, cant see anything coming from either utd games unfortunatly. i just feel that we are going to be exposed seriously by our defensive frailties, and they have the players that will pick us off.
3rd spot for me, would see us kept in europe, a chance to get to another final, exented oppertunitiies for the support to follow the lads. and if we do get to the final then it could be another gr8 day out!

You're one of those annoying * aren't you?

Your intelligent, persuasive, balanced viewpoints are strongly put across in a transparent manner ("* off and don't come back")

Your educated observations regarding the non verbal communication traits of your fellow supporters is interesting ("Bunch of lazy * sitting with their arms folded").

Oh please, educated us more on the needs of the club. Your idea on how to move the club forward financially caught my eye ("* off and don't come back"). One would assume that's about 40 odd thousand who have to, er, '* off'?

    Interesting.

    I would agree with Hut*Hut

Get up and make some * noise, get behind the team instead of sitting there shouting "Entertain ME!! Entertain ME!!"
