All Desmond has done with that statement is show they're more incompetent than we even imagined which is hard to comprehend

It's not black and white. It's fair to say Brendan has been working his ticket since the summer, and has engineered this in such a way that he's come out looking like the hero. It's also fair to say he's been * over and our board are a shower of *.

It's been a horrible situation for a while and needed refreshed. I respect Brendan for doing what he did.

DD has been sitting on that statement a while. Couldn't have whipped it up that quick.

That's exactly why he's come out with this. He knows that by resigning he couldn't buy Brendan's silence, so he's trying to get the jump on the headlines.

This is pure projection on Desmond's part, he knows he's the main person responsible for the mess we're in.

There's no innocent party for me...the board definitely sold him short but his team selection and treatment of players was becoming more and more frustrating. Something has to give and I think it's the right thing ..the board though can't be let off the hook here

    Said the same thing.
Just absolute laziness. Some copy/paste from previous boards, statements that dont hold up to even basic scrutiny, and utterly mental that he thinks that is the statement to get the fans back onside.

This has an end of empire feel to it all. Just a fat lazy end of days vibe.

This is the lowest I think I’ve ever felt as a supporter of this football club, knowing it being ran by a bunch of rats.

He definitely had checked out. Aye.

However as you say they can't be let off. They're the bigger issue.

The bottom line is though, no * knows what was going on behind the scenes. Some of brendans statements and team selections were bizarre at times right enough.

That is a spiteful statement from Desmond that shows him in a very poor light indeed. It was a personal attack on Rodgers, maybe with a degree of truth but extremely unprofessional behaviour. It almost reads like a bully. He has firmly put himself out there aligned with Nicholson and the Board, that is a big big mistake from him.

No one and I mean no one could have seen an implosion like this 6 months ago.

Yea so Brendan didn’t want to sign anyone before the champions league qualifiers

Brendan’s is responsible for signing players who were scouted and bid on in the past, before he was even the manager

utterly disgusting. Anyone can think what they want of Brendan. But nobody at all can ever doubt he wanted us to push on and be the best we can be

one of the clubs most successful managers ever won nearly every trophy available

    * the board !
Thanks Brendan, thanks for the memories

Don’t think that Brendan should’ve come back, and been critical of him since he did. But the man’s a modern Celtic legend and it’s sad to see him walk out under a cloud.

The buck should stop with Lawwell for this situation transpiring as it has, and the fact Desmond has reacted this way publicly shows it isn’t going to. Back to the days of the biscuit tin whilst Hearts run rampant under an owner with the balls to invest sensibly.

    Text from the painter

“don’t believe that statement from Desmond they are self serving * they are getting in first as they said they wanted Brendan to sign a NDA to get rest of contract paid up Brendan refused and they are getting their dig in first, Brendan will give sky the exclusive in the coming week to 10 days”
