Genuinely couldn’t give a * who he supports, he’s a professional footballer so that wouldn’t come into him having a * shocker yesterday, that was purely down to him not being good enough and the squad being so poor he was forced to be thrown in to a tough game having played very little.

He’s not a kid anymore but at 22 there would be 17 year olds who have played more first team football than him so it comes down to experience rather than age. He’s regressed through lack of games, 12 in the space of 4 years is just not going to cut it, was unlucky with a bad injury but much like Welsh he’s been tossed aside and left to rot when he should’ve been out playing games.

Going in on him achieves nothing, he shouldn’t be being relied on in such big games but the same could be said of 6 or 7 others also currently stinking the squad out. It’s not his fault we’re in such a mess one injury to a player means he’s being thrown in, despite not being good enough.

I know players make mistakes, but yesterdays performance showed to me he doesn't have the natural instincts or mentality to make it here. Might seem harsh but I wouldn't play him again after that. The OG is a mistake anyone can make on their weak foot. Fine. Moving out of the way of a shot isn't. Its pathetic. To then give away a penalty in that position is downright moronic. Too many mistakes for me, never going to be good enough.

Could be wrong but I took it completely differently. I thought it looked like a consolation/sympathetic kind of thing.
I know Devlin is generally a wee * but it came across as an experienced player recognising a young guy having a mare.

Iv gave Murray a lot of praise since pre season, think he has loads of really good attitudes, he's big, strong, quick and is good on the ball and looks to be progressive with his passing. However there's no escaping yesterday was a disaster for him but he's a young guy who's only played 8 games for us in 4 years before yesterday, mainly due to some horrific injuries. If he learns from yesterday it could be the making of him, would hate to see him being completely bombed out on the back of yesterday.

People may say he shouldn't have started but with young players you need to expose them to these types of games to see if they can handle it. Id keep him in the team on Wednesday but given the scrutiny he's gonna be under id probably take him out the spotlight on Sunday.

Murray made his debut at 18 and then lost 2 years of his career and developmemt to a serious knee injury.
He may be older than Engels but he's far more inexperienced. He's player 29 senior games i. His career so he is relatively young in football terms.

Doaks talent was recognised and he was fast tracked straight into the 1st team, he was on the bench a week or so after turning 16 and made his debut a few weeks later. It's safe to assume that by 18 barring any injuries he would have been miles ahead of a Yang in terms of minutes played, unfortunately a month after his debut he * off to Liverpool.

Can blame the club for a lot of * over the last few years but Doak certainly isn't one of them.
