Shin Yamada

Like Kenny, he looks very raw. And it’s difficult to judge when he’s brought on as a sub 3-1 down in a game we’d seemingly already given up on.

He had some nice touches but thought he had a chance to play Balikwisha in at one point but didn’t look confident enough to make the pass.

Definitely need better but I don’t see him as a downgrade on Kenny either.

That touch was outstanding for his chance near the end, gives you a bit of hope he’s got something about him. He’s just clearly as club signing so had been treated dreadfully and is now being thrown in when the pressure has never been greater.

 

Give him a run of games, only chance to see what he can actually do. He has good movement and can use his body well, a goal may kick start his career here.

 

Almost funny we are debating 2 strikers who shouldn't even be top 3 options.

I don't know what game you were watching today but he didn't look like he could run. His only trick seems to be to use his * to knock the defender off balance. We had no outball when he came on.

Kenny at least looks like he can at least move the defence about.

Picking between him and Kenny is like asking what * would you liked kicked but I think yamada would just edge it for me , the touch he had was very good and a great block probably stopped him scoring , Kenny is a workhorse but I feel yamada would be better for us in the systems play (or try to play)

Eh remember LOI players develop late and are allowed more time. Japanese players must hit the ground running

If his name was Sinn Murphy he’d be defending him.

 

He is a dire player with lack of pace and fight. He he the opportunity to pass the Balik but played the pass backwards.

Who scouts for these players is beyond me.
