Rodgers said before the game he played Murray because he plays on the right hand side and had been training really well.

More interested in getting an answer to why Trusty isn't getting any minutes and been on the bench. Is he not fully fit?

 

Gutted for him.
He's obviously on the naughty step for something.
This is same guy who consistently shone in UCL, especially the Alamo away v Atalanta.
Was borderline better than CCV in games and in the discussions here.

He's not only better than Murray but also better than Scales.
Brendan clearly has problem with him, like he has had with multiple centre halfs.
Is it only the ones he didn't sign that have issues?

 

He has had a few dodgy games but he has had plenty of games where he has been really solid.

Don’t get why he is constantly been over looked.

 

Plenty of mistakes in him but far more experienced than Murray, who looked way off it today. Needs to start for the next few games at least.

 

Better than Murray sure but not as good as Scales which is why he is not playing

 

I like Trusty but given one of our biggest issues is how slow we are at moving the ball around, especially at the back, I dunno if bringing in a left footed CB to play on the right hand side is gonna help that.

Everytime he receives the ball he's gonna need to take a touch to shift it onto his left foot.

 

Trusty would be able to get on all fours and shift the ball with his head quicker and with a bit more purpose than Murray today so wouldn’t worry too much about that.

He showed at times last season he’s more than capable so we really need him to step up now.

 

I’ve never been his biggest fan, I didn’t want us to sign him in the first place after seeing him place for Sheff Utd in the Prem.

But he’s better than Murray, and that’s on Rodgers for not picking him.

 

He mustve been sitting on the bench watching Murray and thinking what the * am I doing at this club.

 

Trusty has never had a game with the level of errors Murray made yesterday. Even that Dundee away game that he was called “weak as *” wasn’t near that yesterday.

 

Winning at Tynecastle doesn’t require a top class defender.

Just requires someone who can stand up to cross balls and give us some natural defensive instinct.

Trusty if not much else gives you that for the most part

 

Scales and Trusty have played very well together in the past. Shoehorning in Murray to avoid that pairing seems completely baffling.

 

Didn’t say we just need to turn up, but you don’t need to be great either

 

A mystery to me why he didnt get gametime even before the injury. He was outstanding in europe and all of a sudden got dropped.

Sure, Scales have been good so BR have got away with it but as soon as CCV / Scales are injured, any football manager with any knowledge of the club should start Trusty.

He is greaat at defending set pieces and also a threat in the box.

 

Play him or sell him Rodgers, stop * with people, if they are not good enough then move them on, no point sitting on the sidelines drawing a salary if the manager doesn’t rate them.

 

I was of the opinion depsite it meaning 2 left footers at center back that Trusty should start now that CCV was out and even more so now that CCV is out for an extended period this was Trusty's big chance to really show he could be an important and quality player for us. I think it was a mistake to not start him at the weekend. He surely has to start alongside Scales now on Wednesday.

 

Trusty is qaulity. Maybe his injury is not fully healed? Iv had the same thing. You can run, but your done for the next day or 4 took me a year before it went away.

 

Agreed. Murray’s only played 9 or 10 senior games in 4 years and that was fairly evident yesterday.
