Decision to start him and keep a 5.5m defender on the bench is 100% on Rodgers.

I refuse to blame youngers when they fail. Blame should always be on the manager, especially when he chooses to pair two youngers together over the experienced options.

Clearly wasnt the game for him to start in. Especially with another young guy Donovan outside him.

The boy will go and have a decent career, probably even get a few Scotland caps.

But it’s not here. He’s played well at times but he’s also played like this.

Murray, Kenny, Yang, Ralston… I could go on. Just not good enough.

 

All the best to the lad but in his relatively limited appearances he cost us a goal at Villa Park when he got caught in possession in his 6 yard box, hammered a ball at a Braga player into the net. Hacked one in under no pressure today and then hlgave a mad penalty away.

That's that experiment at an end. I don't think he'll ever play for us again now.

 

Ok, he's having a * disaster, but remember that he's an inexperienced player, in a massive game who's virtually 1st touch was an own goal, and probably had what little nerves/confidence he had shattered at that moment... Not saying he's good enough or anything, but bigger, better, more settled people have gone to pieces in similar circumstances before... Feel sorry that the club have done this to him to be honest... It's not on the young lad we've let the entire tree rot from the ground up around him...

One of the worst games I’ve ever seen from a Celtic player

 

He's 22 we speak like he is 17 he made his debut over 4 years ago and has barely been seen since despite being 'promising' it's a direct failure in our youth development and the waste of time that is the B team.

That being said Rodgers reasoning for playing him was he didnt want 2 left footed CB's rewind to him saying the same last season only weeks later to go with Trusty and Scales leaving Nawrocki on the bench

Love how people change their minds. How many were asking for him and Donovan to play. It was a game for Ralston all day long!!

Could be the last we see of him, really cost us the 3 goals when 95% of defenders wouldn't have conceded a single goal from the same situations.
