Is a trier but nowhere near good enough to be our starting striker

    He's rapid..

Gets himself into good positions, he was unlucky not to score last night.

One of those players who you're never confident they'll score in a 1v1..

    Reminds me of Brattback..:fear:

    But, huge chance for him.

Like it or not hes first choice now.

I like the effert, he will get chances cause of clever movement and the work rate. But he needs to do better when they fall.

Ironically i feel if he can get a goal or two in this spell now he may well kick on and convince us he can play a part next season even as that third choice striker.

    Over to you now Johnny

He's definitely a nuisance. It does feel like he's more SPFL level though.

Like I feel like I'd be saying the same things if Martin Boyle or Simon Murray were playing for us

Been trying my best to be positive about Kelechi but it seems like if it's not on a plate for him he's not going to put the effort in to create / force a goal.

Kenny is a money ball option as he'll make more runs and get into better positions more often through sheer effort, which we've seen with Maeda can pay dividends.

That said I don't think his finishing is as bad as some have suggested. Some of it is nerves but he struck the ball well on almost all opportunities aside from the crosses. A touch more composure and he's bagging a few but that'll come with more starts / time on the pitch generally.

Nowhere near the quality we need.
Had quite a lot of poor passes or decisions in the final third. Also he never gives me any confidence that he will score when he gets into a position to do so

Knocked his pan in tbf to the boy, his movement is actually very good but he could do with a little more class in his finishing. Disagree with the post saying he's rapid but he's pretty mobile and his preference to run in behind should give Hatate more space to work.

His movement suits our midfield better. They need runs and someone to ping balls into. It'll elevate the team having him giving some energy up top and I saw it last night in not just for the Hatate's but players like CalMac and Engels benefitted as well.

Kyogo would never come towards the ball for exactly that reason. It gets too congested and becomes easy for a defence to stay compact because nothing is making them drop off.

Hes giving the option of putting a ball over the top. That suddenly makes us harder to defend. Hope he hits a goal patch, because we need it.

He has a good finishh in him its just the consistency he lacks, like most strikers he will likely thrive on confidence so needs a goal or 2 and we may get at least a wee purple patch from him to tide us over to January

I don’t think he’d even stand out at Scottish Championship level. He’s absolutely garbage.

I like him, was all over their centre backs all game and unlucky not to get a goal. He’s a good 3rd choice striker but aye should never be a starter for us.

Doesnt really matter what we think, fact is hes about to get his chance to prove himself thanks to our compleyely inept board. So in a few weeks after plenty of game time it will be fairly clear if hes good enough or not. Im fairly sure of the answer but I hope im wrong.

I thought he did very well. His movement and mobilty was electric, and he gave us an option coming off that right wing, and with balls over the top, something that could trouble both Hearts and Ranger's centre backs in both those games

It wasn't a traditionally good performance (he missed key chances) but it's a performance that worked their defence, gave our midfield options, and ultimately caused their backline to become leggy and sluggish later in the game.

I thought he came into the game more and more as time went on and I hope he picks up where he left out against the diets assuming he starts.

It’s just an opinion based on reality.

Stunk it up at Queen’s Park a few years ago. Did fairly well in Ireland but hardly unbelievable. And never looks in the slightest bit convincing in front of goal.

I’m happy to not lower my standards. He’s a grafter and I like his attitude. But he’s never in a million years a Celtic player.

Stunk it at Queens Park when he was 18/19.

This time last year he was banging them in the Conference League at 21, been a pivotal player from Shamrock Rovers who operates at a higher level than Queens Park, has earned the trust of Rodgers and signed a new contract, won a senior international call up.

A lot of people here think he played well last night in the Europa League and caused all sorts of bother for the Sturm Graz defence even if his finishing let him down at times.

You think he's a Scottish Championship level player though..... crazy
