Shin Yamada

I agree he hasn’t had enough time to form a proper opinion. However, I don’t accept that there won’t be a reason for this. Rodgers and the coaching staff see these guys every day near enough. Do people genuinely think this guy is tearing it up and deserving of minutes but Rodgers just isn’t picking them? Celtic fans aren’t alone in this, but we have a large amount of fans who seem to imagine players being better than they are when they don’t play. Seen it with Lagerbielke and Nawrocki also. Iwata was another. Now it’s Yamada and Inamura.

 

i do actually think rodgers isnt playing him for reasons other than his ability ,think rodgers mentioned recently that he was training well and just had to wait for his oportunity .

 

If he doesnt make the bench this weekend then rodgers definitely has something against him

 

The conspiracy is that Rodgers won’t play him as he didn’t sign him. So you’d think the likes of Engels and Trusty would be playing all the time as he did sign them. They don’t though.

 

Not sure about tearing it up but I absolutely do think there is more to it than ability, convinced of it actually. Same with Inamura.

 

rodgers makes loads of bizzare decisions and he has an ego on him ist not beyond the realms of possibility that he had demanded a better striker was presented with yamada and threw the head up ,not including him in the euro squad was a mental decision with the options we have.

 

I thought Kenny done pretty decent and hassled the defence but I think yamadas pace and power might cause hearts more issues. Be interesting to see how he sets up and if hearts sit back

 

Should be on the bench at least this weekend and should be getting some minutes off it too.

 

Hopefully he gets a start on Sunday, we need some pace and strength up front.

 

I think his movement and pace could trouble Hearts, I hope he gets the chance to start.

Will be interesting to see who starts up front assuming Maeda is not ready yet. I think it will be Kenny but Yamada would be a very bold move. Think more likely though is he is off the bench.

 

I’d be astonished if Shin starts. We might see him off the bench, but wouldn’t be shocked if we didn’t.

 

Think Rodgers will want to avoid playing him if he can. If Yamada gets games and does well, it will make BR look daft for leaving him out of the Europa squad.

 

Ive generally thought Kenny was pretty useless but I thought he got a lot right on Thursday and deserves to start today. Doubt he lasts 90 minutes though so expect Shin to get a decent run.

 

We are struggling to score and have an untried player who could maybe surprise us all and score for fun so let’s try the guy.
