A good understudy to Johnston. Some bad decisions with passing but delivery is great and head doesn't drop.

 

Still like him and think he has a very good game tonight.

Couple errors, left his leg dangling and gave away a foul late on, but these things are exactly what you should be okay with him doing, assuming he learns from them.
He offers us a lot and I'm happy going in to games if he is starting (of course naturally I'd rather AJ first and foremost).

He's definitely ahead of Ralston imo

Eyes in the back of his head. Willie Collum woulda been proud of that one

 

Its worth investing time developing him I think. Ralston is more of a steady eddie type and probably the better on the defensive side. But hes just so limited in what he offers going forward in attack. When your team is already struggling to create and score then its an anchor on the team.

Donovan looks a little raw and has mistakes in him. But he wants get the ball forward and offer himself as an attacking threat which is what we need in the team right now.

 

Has to start ahead of Ralston on Sunday, but i suspect he won't.

 

Rocky start but what do you expect being thrown in at the deep end after being dropped for someone else who is not as good.

Give this lad the minutes cause Ralston is not good enough.

He needs to play to get better, think he will be a great player for us.

 

I like him. Makes a few poor decisions and misplaced passes, etc but he's young. I'd keep him in and around the team. Probably have him before Ralston now.

 

Good to see a younger player get game time. Valuable experience but really needs to do better with his passing.

 

Just the odd lapse in concentration on the ball but that'll get sorted in time.

 

He has enthusiasm, energy and a sense of urgency we massively lack in the squad

 

Refreshing seeing a right back who’s not Johnston actually try and pick a pass forward rather than his first thought being to go back to Schmeichel even if at times he could be a bit more secure in possession. He definitely brings so much more to the table than Ralston though.

 

Probably one of our better players in an awful team performance. Has a lot about him, but needs to put on about a stone and a half of muscle, minimum. Honestly has the build of a boy in his mid-teens.

 

Showed he has no defensive ability today. That's not going to work next weekend.

No, he was awful.

I like what he’s shown in some performances but more recently it’s become evident that he’s out of his depth.
