Yeah honestly the first time on the tight angle I thought fair enough he’s tried his luck. The second time just highlighted he’s miles off the level required.

Thought he had a decent game or 2 in preseason but not seeing it at all at present.

Can't fault his effort. But an injury to Iheanacho was always on the cards, can see he's been struggling for fitness. We should never be in a position where our squad is so bare that Kenny is first choice. But here we are. He'll never have a better chance to prove everyone wrong and cement himself as a Celtic striker, its make or break time. Need to get behind him and the team and hope his workrate can cause teams some problems.

Missed all around him, but a couple of goals might improve his confidence a bit. Presume he’ll start against the Diets.

I'd say he blew his chance.

Really needs a goal… but at least he made a nuisance of himself and had some good movement for the chances.

Efforts all well and good but still no goal.
He'll get games now even if he doesnt score.
Nothing against him just still no idea why he's here tbh.

His movement was good and opened up for others but jesus christ his finishing is bad. Yamada needs to get his chance now.

Pretty much goes to show that today's game is all about being an athlete. Ran around well, got him self involved and hassled well but when it came to then completing it with the other end of the skill set of being a footballer he falls flat.

What does do for me though is highlight the need in our attack that our network for recruitment have some job to do to find a striker that has that type of willingness and energy to get about. But then also has the actual footwork and ball control to finish it.

Greart work rate and movement is good but finishing is poor.

I do like him but he is very similar to Yamada and Yamada is the better finisher of the two. Both has the work rate and pace but Shin is sharper imo.

Well we've no got better until the window, so how about folk support him? Maybe confidence will make him grow? Imagine playing well as a young guy, and the only comments he gets is "we need better" great support.

His energy, movement and threat in behind was impressive last night. He also showed some moments where his link up play was very good and some erratic one. He was unlucky with a few efforts but very rash with a few others.

Overall though he was getting in the right positions consistently and like most strikers, a goal can change a lot with regard to their finishing. Think he deserves a start Sunday.

So young players dont develop? Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll just scoring? Strikers are very rarely prolific when young. Take Giorgos Giakoumakis if you want a recent example. Pish for goals when young and then suddenly just worked.

My opinion is, if he gives that same effort every single game, when he scores a few then he'll keep doing it. The balls in his court. Hope he takes it.

Tbf he's the same amount of goals from play as Kelechi has this season so it's not as if we are blessed with options.

This is probably the biggest moment of his career with both Kelechi and Maeda currently out. The same applies to Yamada here. Both these guys will have a chance now to audition for the role.
