Our entire squad does not go through an insane slump in form since the Bayern defeat that continuously regressed since then and the sole issue be transfers.

Since then Rodgers has said various things about performances and not a single thing has changed. His decision making and continued use of wasters like Yang is all squarely on him.

I cant begin to imagine, whether they are out of position or whatever it may be, that guys like Balikwisha, Yamada, Inamura, Engels, Trusty, Sinisalo are all so demonstrably worse options than their counter parts that they can not be used and yet Yang persists in the starting 11.

Two things can be true in that the board should be the main focus of fan ire, but Rodgers separate to that should also be subject to deep criticism of his inability to keep his mouth shut in the media as well as, unsurprisingly being an hypocrite of saying one thing and doing another.

This is all very covid season lite right now and there could have been arguments that Lennon wasn't back properly that season. Didn't stop fans wanting him gone after a string of poor results.

The same should be true of Rodgers.

Inamura is the one that really annoys me because he basically said he wrote him off before he even saw him (why sign him) so was surprised when he looked good in training, then when he did well in preseason he basically said it's only Cork (despite him doing well against all the teams some of whom were quality) and then when he does well in the first team in competitive games he almost seems annoyed to be asked about him and persists with a crocked Tierney who can barely run.

I was looking up yamadas old club to see his goal tallies by season (20 odd season before last 6 or so last) and the whole squad was valued so cheap at £17m and inamuras team valued at £10m Brendan has got a right to be * off with the board expecting them to be replacements for kyogo idah Taylor even khuns replacement nygren isnt in the same league, he's a right to feel as if they were taking the pish out of him

Has nothing to offer anymore other than standing on the touchline clapping his hands. He'll still go down as one of our best managers but this season is going to tarnish his reputation here.

Feel like a broken record saying this but hopefully that second half can change our season. Been hoping for some sign since the start of the season that he can actually turn this slump around and it hasn't happened until tonight, at least for a while. Not convinced though.

The Board sanctioned a £26M spend last summer on transfer fees for Rodgers. That was a big outlay for a team like Celtic. Rodger's failure to win the last five Hun games, obviously factored into their cautious equations this season. Significant extra transfer money would arguably have been available, if Rodgers had successfully navigated our Champions League qualifier with minnows Kairat, ranked 311th in UEFA. Rodgers failed miserably. He had a squad bolstered by a net £26M of new players, and yet his slipshod management of the Celtic team resulted in us failing to score a single goal in both ties, with the Kairat journeymen. It was a disgrace, and he should have been fired for that capitulation imo. No one can say with a straight face that Rodgers was not backed by the Board.

We needed that to steady the ship. But I think Hearts will tell us if we are getting back on track or if this was potentially a false dawn.

I think that Graz made it very easy for us in terms of how they set up. Afforded us a lot of space to play and werent very organised defensively. McKinnes I expect will have his team much better drilled and geared to go after our vulnerabilities. Im expecting them to go after us physically, target set pieces and make themselves difficult to break down out of possession.
