If Us the huns and Hearts continue in this form Hearts will have won it by the New Year ha..

Alot could depend on Jan transfer market.. Can't see the huns spending and I honestly cant see our board giving a manager thats checked out any money, so if Hearts think they have a chance and spend a few quid, ya never know..

Again theres absolutely nothing to suggest we can suddenly improve when our manager refuses to change a doomed system that every team in the league has figured out now and he doesn't have the players for

The warning signs are there.. As has been said it has covid season written all over with a worse squad this time. We all expected us to suddenly pick up form then and it didn't happen, Im not sure this squad is now even bothered under Rodgers..

Where are the goals gonna come from?

For those making COVID season comparisons, for what it's worth, we were better off after 8 games that season than this one. We were unbeaten, had scored scored 21 goals and conceded the same number (5).

This was the team that played in the 8th game in a 3-2 win against Livi at home.

Aye this is worse than the Covid season already tbh. Would fancy the huns to catch hearts before we do. Rodgers and the board need to go if as expected we lose to hearts, graz and rangers.

Hard to say. It feels like a weird season where we could conceivably finish anywhere from 1-3. If I had to put money on it, I’d probably lean ever so slightly to yes.

I do think Hearts are more sustainable than Aberdeen though. And with Bloom’s analytics they’re certain to be identifying players for January now based on deficiencies in their squad. I really can’t say the same for us. Sure, we’ll be identifying players, but history tells us that them being the right players and us actually being able to get them in is an entirely different kettle of fish.

We moaned that we never acted early in the covid season, yet you can see were worse. The board stuff is actually doing him a favour. If he got all his signings and we was still this pish, and we very well could have been, it wouldn't be sack the board chants, it'd be sack Rodgers chants.

Soon it'll be "sack the board and rodgers" all at once.

Yes, if we can keep it to 5 points or less by January and we spend a bit of money.

At the moment it’s certainly up for grabs. Hearts are bang in there with a great chance.

It’ll be interesting to see how the fans who praise the board for all our domestic success react if we don’t win the league. If they’re angry because we “should” be winning, then that contradicts their praise for the board’s success, as it would be an admission that they've achieved this success with extremely weak competition.

I do think we’ll still win the league, but it’ll be more down to the Rangers’ poor start and Hearts likely Heartsing it.

Sevconia will more than likely get its act together and finish second.

Yes, even though we are utterly garbage. We will win the league.
Hearts don't have the squad depth, nor do they have the experience to see out a full seasons ups n down.
Time and time again over the years we have proven even if we are *, we will grind. Once they get a few Injuries, the Xmas schedule into new year will be a different conversation.
Were notoriously slow starters, will pick up.

If we lose on Sunday we are 8 points behind and then we play sevco in the cup while hearts can go 11 points clear and the following week hearts play first and could go I can't believe I'm saying this 14 points * clear that's a big advantage even though we have games in hand .

I don't think there is any realistic chance we can win the league under a checked out Rodgers, a midfield that is missing in action, and an ageing goalkeeper who is way past his best, and a forward line that is shooting blanks.

Come Sunday night sadly, I fully expect us to be 8 points behind, and the Club in crisis mode.

People also forget we have European games and the cup, where they haven't and have been able to chill out and train...

If we're still behind in January, with another * window closed behind us, then I'll start to brick it... But right now I still think it'll finish up us 1st, Huns 2nd, hearts 3rd... Although it'll all be a lot closer than it has any right being...

Edit: Actually just checked, and I think we've already played 14 matches to their 9...

Think the most important thing to grasp is that WE NEED TO CHANGE SOMETHING... Plugging away at it with no changes, when it's not working, and little/no adaptation when in trouble is a shocking degree of mismanagement...

Edit: sorry... Just reread your last line and realised we actually completely agreed on this...

Agreed, but it’s very finely balanced. If we lose at the weekend and then lose/draw another game while they win their corresponding fixture we’re *.

Plenty of teams have had false dawns and inevitably fell away. But the Jamestown analytics is the one thing that seperates this Hearts team from all the other failed challengers in the past. Couple that with Celtic and Rangers underperforming, and you never know.

I'm pretty certain we'll still win the league, but I'd love it if Hearts ran us close. When was the last time the league went down to the wire? I'm so bored of having the league wrapped up by the split.

Dreading the hearts game and even our semifinal against a really * hun team, I think recent success is green tinting our fans, reality is we've failed to score in nearly half of games, lost both times in Europa and just got our arses handed to us, again failing to score against a team that hadn't beat us in Dundee for 37 years or at all for 23 years, I suffered through 80/90's so haven't taken recent success for granted, hope to the fitba * I'm wrong, but ...
