How does Shaun Maloney or Scott Brown sound? Because I know which is more likely to happen.

Well no...but going into a race with a Honda Civic and being told to beat all the smaller engined Civics plus a few broken down Dacias shouldnt be too unfair an ask.

Honestly, his complaining must sound utterly absurd to every other manager in the league.

Sitting with a 10m signing on the bench. Dundees best player from a couple of seasons ago on our bench. Guys costing 1.5m cant even get on the bench.

Dundee are beating us with goals from a 32 year old free signing from FC Ashdot. The yougster who assisted CCVs own goal was on loan at Bromley last season.

Ive long loved Rodgers but he is absolutely at it right now.

I'm not saying those things shouldn't have been the aim prior to the season starting.

I've been bemoaning the lack of ambition and negligent actions by this club for years and years on here, even when a large majority of people were still spouting nonsense about us being a 'well run club' and that we have been 'spoilt' in recent times cos of the nineties or something.

I also think Rodgers is a massive * problem though and is not even close to earning half of what he makes here. He's been coaching this team awfully for a large majority of his second tenure.

He shouldn't be getting outhought by neddish pundits and his teams shouldn't getting outscored, outfought and outplayed by pub teams in this division, no matter what you think he has or doesn't have at his disposal. It's laughable to suggest otherwise.

I'm not revising history, I revised my expectations after we failed to spend to ensure CL qualifiacation and the window closed.
We're * in Scotland, because our "manager" doesn't want to "manage" with what he's got.
Let's face it a Honda Civic has more * gears than the Celtic team has.

We are at the end of the cycle 8 months too early tho. We 100% look like a team coming to end of its time and you usually see that around about April time when trophies have been settled.

    * knows how we navigate the next 8 months

That was the aim at the start of the season, we're only in October. At no point did we as a club even attempt to equip Brendan or the squad to meet those goals. This team since Brendan returned had been largely successful by any metric. 4 trophies out of a possible 6 domestically. Did well in Europe last year. So this summer window was a hugely pivotal moment. We had to get it spot on to progress. We failed massively. In doing so we've disillusioned our manager and several of our players. And we have the weakest squad in years. So its of no surprise to me we're not meeting expectations and playing poorly.

My biggest gripe is these results like today have people turning their attention away from the root cause of all these issues and instead suggesting that sacking Brendan suddenly fixes anything. I like Brendan, but he's not entirely blameless. My big concern is if we treat Brendan this way this year, what does it mean for whoever comes next if nothing changes above him? It solves nothing.

We're * because the gear selected by the top of our club is reverse. Downsize squad, stockpile money, fleece the fans and neglect the stadium. Doing some job.

Those putting the blame solely on the transfer window:

What do you make of Rodgers' comments today and previously this season? Do you honestly think it helps or is motivating in any way when he refers to the squad he has as a pish car? He's totally lost sight of the forest for the trees and is actively demotivating the squad every time he says * like this.

If it makes me, a fan, think how pish our squad is what impact is it having upon the players who've joined for £5m odd and the rest? Honestly sick of his pessimistic garbage.

Honda Civic....* me shut your mouth. Thats embarrassing. You have plenty to make a better go of it than you are currently. Losing at Dundee is you. Own it!

Aye, as said above by someone else, the summer window was where we really needed to invest in quality and refresh the squad.

The players look low on confidence and have done for most of this season. The manager spending most of the transfer window and the month after it shuts constantly complaining of a lack of quality in the squad likely doesn't help their confidence.
