    That’s fine.

Where’s the accountability for himself though?

I couldn’t give a * how long he stayed or if he lost every game in the Covid season.

The way he disrespects and belittles the people that made him a millionaire and idolised him throughout a treacherous period in his life is an absolute disgrace.

He displays all the traits of a narcissist, taking no accountability for any of his countless failings, and blaming everyone and anyone else.

He wouldn’t * on you if you were on fire, yet here you are falling over yourself to call your fellow Celtic fans pretend hard men for calling out the latest episode of unprovoked bootlicking from the biggest ever Celtic man of all time (who’d never been to the stadium in his puff prior to signing)

    Bizzare.

That might be true. But he's clearly a Celtic fan. Baffles me that anyone doubts that.

    This this this ffs!

The amount of people that still big him up and back him is mental to me considering he literally has zero respect for the Celtic support or our opinions.

Would be true of a lot of players who ended up professionals as pretty much guaranteed to be playing themselves.

Never mind one who lives in a different country. Don't think there's any doubt Lennon grew up a Celtic fan.

Not to excuse the * he's talking now.

I backed him as a player and when he managed us, at the time he was getting death threats, bullets in the post, attacked at Tynecastle, the fan base were totally united and stood by him every step of the way and the * he is coming out with now completely throws that right back in their faces, lost a lot of respect for him during the Covid season and have lost even more respect for him recently for the amount of * that he talks.

This is what's really souring it for me..

He's very much aligned with the way the board see us and has history of talking down about us and certain sections of the support..

Some * in our support would like to see him swinging from a rope more than the * huns would.

Bet these same so called hard men tongued his * and balls the nights of barcelona and Lazio etc....but as soon as he started loosing games the knives ( sorry ....bullets) came out.

Slating his attire...his mental health....and what snus he puts in his mouth....is * outrageous.

The guy put his life and his families life on the line for this club....Moving you family out of their home in the middle of the night and still managing this club the next day......Yet the * he gets even now is beyond * hun like.

He lost a * league title man under crazy conditions....ye he was as much to blame as many others ffs...The board....The players also.

Same * * by the way that wanted death on Rodgers when he * off but then decided to rim him once he came back.

Rodgers * off and didnt give a * about us....so why in the last 2 years did that change quickly?....Because he was winning? So if it was that.....If Lennon had to come back and win games like Rodgers has.....He would be accepted back just as easy?

I dont care about many players or managers when they * off of how they think about us from that day forward.....They have done a job hopefully for us in the time they were their....thats all that matters.....I dont need them pretending they give a * about us.

Does he do a lot of stuff wrong? Yes he does....I dont agree with a lot he says..Especially with the board and * recently....But i will not fall as low to want to see him swinging from gallows like some still mention till this day.

I loved him as a player.....And as a manager rated him a lot...He took on our club as he got attacked on sidelines ffs. He won silverware (didnt see complaining then) and beats high end teams like Barca and Lazio.....Ironically teams that Rodgers/Ange etc fail to do.

As a pundit he seems good....Not biased like that * Boyd.

Hope if Lennon is on duty today for Sky that Sutton lands plenty of digs toward him out defending Lawwell during the weekend.

If life was so tough…. why did he linger on months beyond when he should have been gone.

Still have that image in my head of Lawwell @ co at Hampden, deep in discussion before heading to the dressing room to give him the job.

The opening act of a 2 year-long farce..

He won the treble. Something rodgers couldn't do this time. Thats not a 2 year long farce. * have so much hatred for loosing 1 season they are blind. Every single top league on the world had new winners that year that had not won a league in 5+ years and some decades.

I was really referring to the whole period..

    The board, Lennon, Covid, etc…

I don’t recall many wanting him appointed full time/permanently in the first place. It was the easy lazy cheap option at the time.

We won the quadruple treble during that 2 year farce.

Were you quite angry when you typed that? :giggle1:

His backing the board is abhorrent but have all Celtic fans got to have the same opinion? There’s two guys that stand in front of us at the game who back the board, had arguments with them cos I can’t get my head round it, but you know what? They are there every week cos they support Celtic. We don’t all have to think the same do we? As for belittling the fans not sure I’ve heard him do that, but maybe you follow him closer than me.

As I replied above to Honda… I’m talking about the whole period… not specifically Lennon although I don’t think he should have been given the job permanently after the caretaker role…. but the chaos and controversy that covid brought along with boardroom inertia.

Yes.. we won a treble but that actually allowed Lennon (and the plc) too much slack. We had won a double when the league was ended early in May with the Scottish Cup Final being postponed for 7 months… so the treble wasn’t confirmed until Christmas..

… at which point we were 16 points behind Sevco….

.. and as we all know.. it didn’t improve from there.

(Do I need to mention Dubai?)

It's fairly easy to understand his comments. He was kept in a job for being loyal to the board and never slagging them. As a mediocre manager, he was completely beholden to them for his position and knew where his bread was buttered. So I understand his loyalty - without them, he had no career as a manager.

However, that doesn't entail the way he takes digs at the support. He could just say he thinks the board do their best but understands supporters' frustrations, even if they're misplaced. He always goes a little further than that, however. He always sticks one on the support for no apparent reason.

See during the COVID season, when people were out for his head, I understood being defensive and a bit resentful. I would be too if I felt I was doing my best. However, I don't think it's excusable now. He could just do himself a favour and keep his mouth shut. Presumably he's after a job or otherwise just a bitter old sod.

Fair enough mate, covid was just a strange time and benefited one club.

The fact is even if Lennon walked away 2 months earlier, I doubt it would have changed things. We had disharmony in the changing room with the players that wanted away, and then the constant covid suspensions we seemed to get (worse than any other team I seem to mind).

Not saying that Lennon couldn't have handled things better but I just don't get the level of hate for him.
