I understand why he took both jobs.

Spurs have potential to be a decent club. Forest was a massive payday for a month's work.

Spurs was the wrong move though as it's a basket case club with * history and * fans.

Forest was completely the wrong club for him.

I'd have him back in a heartbeat in the summer.

I think the fact that it was an EPL gig was enough for Ange tbh, he knew that was his last roll of the dice managing in that league, it's all part of the managerial merry-go-round.

Aye, his EPL career is over now. Crazy considering people like Sean Dyche still get gigs despite doing * all.

I'd happily trade Rodgers for Ange now if Forest want to throw us a few million.

I think he always had one more shot in the EPL after spurs so he had to pick carefully. He should’ve waiting until just before January or later in the season and took a club at that point. Diving into Forrest was daft and his career in England is almost certainly over now.

I hope now he takes some time out and if Rodgers leaves I would take him back in a heartbeat.

I think Ange's playing style was always gonna be tough to implement in the EPL over a period of time, great when it works, not so when teams suss it oot !

I understand your POV, prof; but I see it more like James (I've quoted his post below).

Don't really know where he goes from here tbh, maybe a Saudi club to secure many generations of his family

Team that's attacking and dominates possession, and looking for a new manager in the summer would be ideal.

    Few and far between.

If you want to just be there Dyche isn't a bad manager. I imagine Forest don't mind that. I don't think they expect to win trophies or actually care if they fail to.

Ange was lucky there were three * teams to make sure he couldn't relegate.

Realistically what can Sean Dyche do with any of the teams he's managed? He keeps * teams afloat when their only real goal is to stay afloat.

Ange's tactics even at Celtic against high level teams left us exposed and got us some severe beatings. No surprise that's translated to the EPL.

At Forest, I'll admit that was a poison chalice. I've got a feeling the players wanted to protest the owner a little bit which sometimes means a string of * performances.

Seems like a life's work and ambition for him to get there, shame for it to end like that really.

He was never the right person for NF, and NF were never the right club for him. Everyone could see that from the off so bit of a strange one really. We're the perfect fit for him and I'd have him back in the summer no quietions.

It was doomed from the start. Plays the polar opposite type of football that Nuno did, and their fans were fuming with Nuno being sacked.

He’s done in that league. Winning the European trophy was great but his record domestically is shambolic.

I just can’t see him doing the business in a top league. He needs to be a big fish in a small pond with his style of football. The likes of an Ajax/PSV or Benfica/Porto is probably the best he could hope for and I can’t any of those clubs going for him.

Forrest are the perfect club for him at the exact opposite of perfect time.

That owner is a fat * with a superiority complex, they are * no matter who they bring in.

Its fairly obvious the international route is probably the only one open to him as a realistic career path to a job with ambition.

No "big league" club will be looking at him again without another league championship under his belt from perhaps a mid level European league like Holland or Portugal. But even a gig there looks highly unlikely. Greece or Turkey might be a possibility.

When he took the Forest job the writing was on the wall. No way Angeball was going to work there, not without a least a full season of pain and a massive influx of investment.

For people saying theyd have him back in a heartbeat; sorry, lightning never strikes twice.

He was already fed up with Desmond and the board, and publicly lambasted the transfer policy.

Now if we had a new board in place with a modern set up; and were to hand him 40m transfer kitty, * yes
    Bring back the big man.

But hes already said in past interviews he'd never go back to a club once hes left.

Ah well. We still love him, and hes a national hero in Australia. His pockets must be fairly swollen too. So life will go on for the big man.
