Keep him on and he gets injured when not fully fit would be a crime. Would destroy us for europe. Good call imo.

    Debatable imo.

It arguably cost us two points, allowed Hearts to slip to the top, and let Rangers shave two points off our lead.
The league is more important to me than the Europa.

Just the way I see it.

Not debatable at all. When you've got such a lead on your main rivals it doesnt matter at all. Weve loads of games, a threadbare attack of little qaulity. Its exactly when you can rotate. If things look closer you can risk keeping them on. Until then its exactly the right call.

There should have been 5/6 at HT as well.

Hibs had players down 4 times in the first half, I mind we kicked the ball out as they had a guy down. Then they had two guys down with headknocks where they stopped the game and gave the ball back to us with a dropped ball and then he stopped the game again when one of their players sat down in the box and the guy was injured and then was subbed off.

Then he added 3 minutes at HT, it never actually started till like 40 seconds in, they had that freekick at the edge of our box before it even got to 45 minutes and then they never took it till over 40 seconds into the first minute, then he blew for HT 5 seconds early when he should have went another minute.

Should have been like 5 at HT and 7 at FT instead of 3 and 4.

Stat zone: Are Celtic FC being refereed to a different standard to everyone else?

Two new WORLD RECORDS for a top flight game were set at Celtic Park on Saturday when Celtic committed 94.4% of all fouls despite having 78% possession

Despite having the ball for more than three quarters of the game - the Hoops were penalised seventeen times while Hibs remarkably only committed ONE foul the whole match despite only having the ball for 22% of the time

No team since FIFA or UEFA records began has EVER committed such a high percentage of fouls on such a high percentage of possession and no team with lower than 30% has ever committed less than 3 fouls

It seems to be a common occurrence when Celtic play at home now as they give away a remarkably high amount of fouls despite dominating possession

Are Celtic a particularly clumsy team that don’t know how to tackle ? Or are refs sub-consciously holding them to a higher standard due to them winning 99% of domestic games at home ?

Watching the game it didn’t seem like Celtic were a particularly dirty or aggressive side in any way - with some of the “fouls” given against them almost laughable in a supposed contact sport, so to commit over 94% of the fouls just seems absurd in so many ways

Even more remarkable that the only foul by Hibs was a yellow card offence

Do Celtic get penalised for the little niggles that other teams get away with, while visiting sides only get a free kick against them when it reaches the yellow card threshold?

On Saturday, and other recent games at Celtic Park, it did seem like Celtic were penalised for things that Hibs and other teams were getting away with, causing them to lose attacking momentum.

I actually think Rodgers should be highlighting it, preferably when we overcome one of these situations. Would just be painted as sour grapes but if he were to hit out with the stats and that, just call out the refereeing.
