He definately showed real defensive prowess.

Could we have inadvertently found McGregor's successor.?

We have got a stack of left wingers, especially with Jota on the mend.

Fairly certain he’s a Makelele regen. Would love to see him in a DM role. A good cameo though

Maybe early to say this but reminds me of when we played Armstrong on the left when he was clearly a midfielder with his attributes.

Why does it feel as if Tounekti has shamed him into trying harder?

He looked much better today, tidy passing and good defensive work.

Thought he looked more comfortable. Much more to come.

Nice bit of pressing by him, which lead to the McCowan goal.

Liked him today but think if he’s going to have a regular impact he’ll need to move inside we already have about 10 left wingers.

Definitely looks more like a box to box midfielder to me.

Or more likely he realises that at the moment he's 2nd choice LW so when he gets on the pitch he's gonna burst his * to impress to try get more starts.

Maybe he should have a word with his fellow Belgian and see if he can get him to have a similar attitude

Actually think we could see him there after the January window when we (hopefully) bring in another RW and Jota is back.

For now he pretty much has to play on the wings, but he's definitely got attributes I like.

He didn't look like a left winger in his YouTube highlights

But much better game from him today when he came on but he's not keeping tounekti out the side

I thought what the showed today was similar to watching his performances in games at the end of last season for Antwerp. He is an intelligent player who spots runs and space for himself to get in to. It was a pity about the lob he put wide as that was a nice run and pick out to put him in.

He also works hard off the ball. He isn’t someone who is going to run his man and dribble by him but definitely has qualities to offer more than he showed in the first two appearances.

Don't know if that technically goes down as an assist but it should.

His runs in behind are fantastic. I think in Europe that’ll cause real problems.

He done it a handful of times against the Huns and players like Engels missed it, but once that gels and players look for it it’ll cause havoc.

We have been missing that option for the most part since Kyogo.
