Ballsy to take the pen but for sure isn't yet fit to play.

Not too bothered about his physical appearance as long as he gets his fitness in check.

John Hartson was no spring chicken, was he?

Excellent debut.. another week or so of training now to get under his belt.. going in the right direction. I think he will score a lot of goals..

I suspect he probably saw it as a no lose situation. He'll have known he wasn't a popular choice coming here and most fans didn't want him. If he misses it's not like his status would drop that much, but if he scores it immediately gets him some goodwill and some leeway.

Dunno mate, I think if he misses that pen with the last kick of the ball with how fickle football fans can be he’d be struggling. This thread in particular would be pages and pages of folk screaming for him to be chased and social media would be 10x worse.

Reminds me a lot of when Idah scored that one last minute at Easter Road when he also wasn’t a very popular signing.

Took a set of balls cause he could’ve quite easily left it for Nygren who I think also wanted to hit it.

As amusing as the shirt gaffe is, it really does sum up how amateurish we’ve become.

Kelechi Iheanacho marked his Celtic debut by scoring the winning goal to give the Hoops a 2-1 victory over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Daizen Maeda's opener was cancelled out by David Watson, but following a VAR check, Brendan Rodgers'side were awarded a penalty and Iheanacho, who had come on in the 70th minute, stepped up and smashed the ball home with a powerful left-foot shot.

The 28-year-old Nigerian internationalist was delighted to mark his first game for the Hoops with the winning goal, as he told Celtic TV after the game.

"I’ll feeling really, really good," he said. "It’s the last kick of the game and I got to take it, so I’m really happy.

"I’m happy for the opportunity and I could see how the fans feel after that goal. It was a really important goal so I’m happy.

"It’s a great feeling but, at the same time, there’s a lot of pressure as well with the spot-kick. But I just took it with composure and we win the three points today which is massive, and hopefully there are many more to come

Can't ask for a better first appearance really coming on and scoring the winning pk with basically the last kick of the match. I would think we might see him get more of a run out off the bench next week.

Lawwell probably found out they have to pay for each letter to get added and thought of a cunning plan to cut costs no one would notice.

Strikers confidence comes from goals. This will do him good. Also a bit of TLC from Brendan and the fans and it could all end positively this season for him and us. :48:
