He's got a kinda Bernabei/Bolingoli look of awkward bombscare about him a wee bit at times but also looks mostly competent and accomplished. I can't really explain it. Brilliant assist aswell btw.

Shaky start but came onto a game as it went on. Great cross for the first goal and took up good positions. I'd be starting him for the foreseeable tbh.

Very solid first start for him especially considering the dreadful pitch and conditions. The brilliant assist for Maeda's goal should be a real confidence booster for him as well.

Quotes from Brendan on his display today

How impressed were you with Marcelo Saracchi's influence in the game? He got the assist, he was also playing a little bit inverted as well?

Yeah, I liked him. He's a player of experience. He can do that role coming in on the inside. He hasn't played for a little while, so the plan was to give him an hour, and he did that very well.

Just again, getting used to the adaptation to the system, he's coming from maybe fractionally slower play. So for us we want to get the ball more progressive and get it forward quicker. In the second half he's up there and it's a brilliant cross from that half space, because we talk about that against back fives when you're switching it and you're working the ball. Making those crosses, it's difficult for the other team to defend, and he made a great ball, and then that allows Kieran Tierney to come in and play the last 30 minutes or so.

Yup, I like what I see so far.

I think he will probably be our starting left back in most of the games. Maybe the big ones KT will start.

He definitely looks very confident, it was a very impressive performance in shocking conditions.

I'd be starting him ahead of Tierney now tbh.

A decent back up for league games when KT is either injured or in need of a rest. Should see plenty of games and will suit the Scottish game.

Couple of misplaced passes, other than that he was good though. Great delivery for Maeda’s goal.

Thought he did well. A bit like Donovan though he didn't get tested defensively due to how Killie set up. Think he will start v Patrick but imagine Tierney gets the nod Thursday.

Pleasantly surprised so far. Looks very forward thinking and accomplished on the ball.

Remains to be seen if he can defend, but he’ll do fine as a rotation option.

Outstanding cross for the goal, some poor passing especially first half but been decent so far.

Tbh he deserves to keep his spot next weekend.
