It's mental I'm having to say this, but I genuinely feel more hatred towards Peter Lawwell than I do for that lot across the city.

 

I've got a bad feeling with that ultimatum that Dermott would side with Lawwell. Probably would rather maximise profits and they probably reckon they could just pluck another Ange out the sky.

If Lawwell was in control John Kennedy or Shaun Maloney would be in the dug out, hopefully Desmond will be raging with Lawwell for briefing to The Sun and will remove him as Chairman, back Rodgers to be here after this season and all is well again, if so the Manager, Team and Supporters will be in a far better place going forward, have a sneaky feeling though with the relationship between Desmond and Lawwell that Rodgers will go at the end of the season,

 

Rodgers has been absolutely on point today.

I get the impression he is a celtic fan just genuinely trying to enjoy his last season here. Hes clearly tried and failed to improve the structure but he sounded pretty happy in himself. Hes obviously a rich guy, doesnt need to be here, and knows he will walk into another job after this one. Hopefully his enthusiasm rubs off on the players as he still seems to genuinely care.

 

My guess is promise everything the fans want (input, communication, better transfer windows, whatever) in some * diluted way, then after an unrelated (?) time quietly announce PL is retiring for family time/UEFA duties at the end of the season. Easiest way out without much change.

 

Desmond can't be that daft. Lawwell attempting to sabotage Brendan's career here, is the same as sabotaging the team's success over a personal vendetta. As the saying goes, no man is bigger than the club.

This * shouldn't just be sacked, he should be banned from Celtic Park for life.

 

Saying he would extend and stay if the club move forward and improve was a great move

 

He’s clearly doing the 3 seasons. He’s said it about 10 times at least and yes I know he * off before and we all thought he’d do it again but he’ll clearly not. If it does go pear shaped this season he’ll try and take the board down too and quite rightly.

Wouldn’t suprise me if Forest were sniffing about there. But I think he’s thinking I’ve said it too many times now so I can’t leave. If I’m successful then I will look great after this shitshow and if we fail this season then I can blame the board.

The board have completely underestimated BR and the fan base. They probably thought we would all lay the blame at Brendan's door and then it would be continue rinse and repeat. Likely hoped that he would walk away. Now we know why he did walk away the first time.

 

He keeps saying hes willing to stay
