Never seems to be much dislike when the English clubs want us down for a testimonial

 

It's definitely way worse than the testimonial days, easily......but good. Prefer it that way..

No Plastic City, Corrupt Chelsea or England on the list, I hate those 3 way more than that list which is indeed horrible.

 

Most people don't care.

There's a section of the far-right who tagged themselves along with Rangers and fabricate a hatred for Celtic out of that but they're the extreme minority. Say 2% of the population.

Then there's a section who have Irish/Catholic ancestry who have a soft spot for Celtic. Say 5% of the population.

The other 93% couldn't really care imo.

 

I've lived down here for over 25 years. Think it's the hatred you get when you say you support Celtic that I see. It makes me laugh though, you can have a good wind up with whoever starts it. Guess I may be made of stearner stuff. Think the far right might be higher than 2 per cent though. It's gaining momentum, lots of flag worshipping coming out the woodwork in recent days

 

Rangers, Hearts, Livingston,Chelsea, Liverpool,Spurs, Arsenal, Man City, Millwall, Peterborough, Hamburg, Coleraine and Linfield.

 

Average English football fan I grew up around of any age always had the same rhetoric ''scottish football is *, only two teams in it'' I found that those who chose Celtic as their second team were few. I think your right though, most my peers cared about their own team. I developed a thick skin from carrying the Celtic torch in England, the arrogance and the fact that they can look down on us purely because of money. The more money they get the less we do, its like if you won the lottery and called everyone around you a peasant.
I think its also fair to say that some English dislike Celtic only because they think Celtic dislikes them first.
Its like on here in some ways, I'll disagree with someone about a strong subject and have no beef but If I think you hate me for who I am then I would actually feel certain ways about it.

 

Hamburg I was completely unaware about until we played them, and they had a big Union Jack No Surrender Tifo. Was * confused.

Think the same season we played Rennes, they had a display about friends across the sea Celtic/Rennes. Absolutely no * I knew had a clue that was apparently a thing

 

To be fair you see a lot of Celtic/Ireland flags at games for most of the Breton sides. Just like you will at some of the Basque sides.
As an aside I have visited Brittany and loved it. Wonderful place to visit.
