I think he could work wonders with that squad.

Even Chris Wood is a bit of a grafter rather than just a big lump. Players like Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson will buy right into it I think. They press quite well but we know that’ll be a different animal with Ange.

Some players will be shipped out, it’s a big squad. But there’s pieces there he can get a tune out of. Not even like they are playing badly, it’s just a system change.

I think he'll smash it. Nice to have a wee bit of interest back in the EPL.

Aye agreed. Everyone's talking about the drastic change in style but actually the squad suits him really well. The midfield and defence in particular are ideal, and they're not short of decent wingers.

They were already over achieving. I can't see his style, with arguably lesser players than he had at Spurs doing much better over the course than they already were.

A good appointment for him. Big club with a rich history. I think he'll do well, but I think he'd do well at any club in World football (inclusive of all the big guns).

I honestly think he'll find it difficult to change their style.

The current personnel are used to playing defensively and on the counter. They get exposed chasing a game, like West Ham last week .

I hope Im wrong but cant see it ..

When Nuno went, I kind of thought it might be Ange next. Owner is a Greek guy, seemed to dislike Nuno personally... just seemed to fit. As for football, I don't know that it fits, but at least he'll have a budget, which is something he never had at Spurs.

Personally I can't see it ending well for him at Forest. His all out attack style doesn't work at the Premier league level. Too many top quality managers who will work out how to play against him.

They didn’t sack Nuno for losing a game or starting poorly though - clearly there’s been a massive breakdown in the relationship between owner, manager and their new DoF.

When he was first linked, I didn’t think it’d be a great move for Ange because they probably overachieved under Nuno, and with the added burden of Europe are likely to fall off this season. However, the positive for him is that they’ve spent a lot on attacking talent and have numerous options up front, something Ange lacked at Tottenham. That rotation and being able to bring on fresh legs up front after 60 minutes whilst still maintaining quality is one of the keys to his system working.

Our board will even do their bit by making sure we qualify for the Europa League again next season :giggle1:

The owner marched on the pitch after a game shouting at the last manager. That's not a breakdown in relationship. That's the owner being a *. Considering he also happened to be doing a cracking job for him..it doesn't really augur well. If Ange takes a few hidings, (with his open play, it's possible) I don't think he'll be very forgiving.

Just having a look at the players forest have. They’ve actually made some great signings this window. Think he’ll do okay the first season with them if he starts a little more defensively with his high paced forward style.

if he goes all out attack he’s done for as every manager/team in the prem knows how to play that way.

I don't think that'll be an issue, I expect he'll be sacked before the start of next season. The squad he has inherited doesn't look like a good fit for his style, and he hasn't had time to work with the players to get his vision across so I can see it being a bit of a disaster. Hopefully he turns them around fast, but I fear the worst tbh.

Aye, that's the best feeling I've had as a Celtic fan in years.

Fact is I still love the big guy and always will. That period with him at the helm here was special, the football, the way we were all in it together, the new signings, obviously him as a figurehead.

Wish him all the best. I'll certainly be following Forest this year.

From the walk up to the stadium, the full 90 and after it was the best atmosphere I've experienced at Celtic Park. It was unreal.

I will always support big Ange.
